Just gotta turn on the news and you'll see a far more dystopian world.

It does kind of lose it's appeal when you see people attempt to emulate it instead of using it as a cautionary thing

Whole show of "hey so we invented the torment nexus from the episode 'do not invent the torment nexus'"
Why not go all in?
I might only watch the new Callister

Yeah but at least the whole "smartphones/social media is bad" messaging feels a lot more relevant now.

I've generally disliked more Black Mirror episodes than liked, but this season all the episodes have made me feel a certain way and I've been pleasantly surprised. Some are a little hokey and predictable but still really enjoyable.

I dislike the introduction of straight-up supernatural elements to the series. Werewolves and demons in the last season, and (episode 2 spoiler) calling magic quantum doesn't make it not supernatural .

I heard it was to be used as a back door pilot to a new series.
The ball is round, the game lasts 90 minutes. That's fact.
Everything else, is theory.
Really? I thought it hit the same early on as it does now.
...I think I'm done here...
I just started season 7. Episode 1 was so brutal I think I need a breather before I keep going. A better ending would be some kind of uprising with that customer service rep getting thrown to the crowd

Black Mirror has always been hit or miss. The very first episode with the pig is still one of the worst episodes of the series. And i can name several episodes from the early seasons that were flat out awful episodes.

The pig episode isn't that good, but after last season and the absolute low bar that is Mazey Day I don't think it can go into one of the worst pile. Probably only Waldo Moment competes with Mazey Day.

It's unironically the best episode.
If you read this signature, then that meant that I had control of what you read for 5 SECONDS!!
First episode was apparently one of the two best, and I think it was just pretty good. Last seasons premier was easily better.

And yeah, I also consider the first episode of the series to probably be the worst, and ironically enough the second episode (10 million merits) to still be the best. History of You was good but overrated.

Only episode I might consider as bad as the first was Hated in the Nation.

That episode is a triumph tbh. People hate a premise that is too far fetched but I love how they slowly managed to convince him to do it. Great writing

I guess my issue with that particular episode (and other Black Mirror episodes I dont care for) is that the premise is too unbelievable. And what I mean by that is that it is unbelievable in the sense that people would not act like they do within that episode.

Its almost as though the writers dont understand humans, how they behave, and how they would react given these hypothetical situations. I can take the premise (stupid as it is), but the way it plays out is just so far off on what would actually happen it makes it look like an AI wrote it. Its justbad.. Almost made me not continue the show.
I thought the idea was to throw out our idea on how people should react/behave with the "new norms" that the episodes seem to establish.

Yup. The only reason I stuck with the show as long as I did was because of how hooked I was after episode 1, even though they never came close to topping it.

The first episode is one of the very best. It answers every 'but that wouldn't happen' objection. It is one of the most 'British' (along with Demon 79 and Waldo), though.

It is a very uneven series. Black Museum, Nosedive, and Loch Henry are fantastic. Maizey Day was straight up awful, and too many rely over much on their customary twist endings (Playtest being the major offender).

'Vinyl is the poor man's art collection'.
Let in the refugees, deport the racists.
It makes horror games where like a dude wants to take over the world or chase you around with a sharp object so hilarious
^ Hey now that's completely unfair!
