one, because i feel old. not 50 years old, but old enough to remember spending too much time on Treasure Mountain, Disney Stunt Island, Gabriel Knight and Coaster in the back room at my mom's office after school until she closed up.

and old enough to feel nostalgia for that ugly ass but still inviting ie 5 theme with the spinning earth throbber (remember throbbers rip)

But also two, because at the end of that page MS offers a "Nostalgia" theme for Edge but there's nothing nostalgic about it, it's just a cold gray hue that makes the browser look uglier. I wish they'd legit just bring back classic theme options for their shit, can't believe I'm stockholm syndrome'd into accepting windows 11's ugly interface

I remember Gabriel Knight. I think he only got 3 games. First was about voodoo I think. 2nd had werewolves and the 3rd one was about vampires. I wonder why that series ended. They should revive it
Yeah I played the voodoo one, it was set in New Orleans (maybe they all were?). I remember it having some pretty graphic photographs in there >_>

And a revival would be dope, imagine a remade version that's more like L.A. Noire or something plus a remastered port of the original, like a two for one. Bet that would sell pretty well

I think 2 and 3 were in Europe. But yea, the first one was in New Orleans
damn just remembered another one where you're a boy in the rainforest and you have this PDA-style device that gives you points as you unlock facts about the forest. Wish I could remember what it was called though. I think early on you rescue a parrot from traffickers and at some point get caught by some armed guys and have to escape through the floor in their shed.

maybe that's why I'm so environmentally conscious ? idk

2 was in Germany (Gabriel starts out in the family castle), I think, and 3 was in France.
I will rule the world, and find that truly good cup of coffee.

I'm watching a playthrough of Gabriel Knight 2 right now, lol. Unrelated to the anniversary, but still. Didn't know it was an FMV-style game.
Take me down from the ridge where the summer ends
And watch the city spread out just like a jet's flame
