Just beat Stray, AMA

1 - Turned off the "show death animation" option as soon as I saw it in the settings because I don't want to see no cats die.
2 - I didn't really know what to expect going in, thought it would be more puzzle solver/walking simulator and didn't expect all the story buuuut
3 - the story was depressing af and made me very sad, also I still don't fully understand what happened but maybe that's the point. I did miss a couple optional memories.

turns out the drone was actually a digitized human, or at least claimed to be at the end, but sacrificed itself for the companion robots and the cat which is really sad to me.

What does turning off the death animation do, just cut to black?

I didn't notice it was an option until my second playthrough so I never messed with it...

Yeah the screen goes red as you're losing health and then it cuts immediately to the game over screen with the reload checkpoint option.

I have three cats so I didn't want to fuck with that >_>

Yeah the memories fill in a bit more. Thankfully they are easy to go back and collect with chapter select, just make sure to hit a checkpoint after unlocking a new memory.

The ending is bittersweet the cat gets to go back to his pals/family and the robots in the city are no longer threatened and the quarantine is finally over.
