The late 90s to early 00s was probably the golden age of that shit with KOTORs, Battlefronts, Rogue Leaders, Jedi Knights, Episode 1 Racer, X-Wing, among others. There was always at least 1 banger like every year and it was great

Then HD happened and games slowed a lot, then Disney bought Star Wars and cancelled a bunch of games, then EA got exclusivity and put out jackshit or mobileshit >_> Man I miss the old days of Star Wars games so much

Yeah it feels like the quality dropped off a lot.

Outlaws was pretty great though it also didn't give me 100% star wars vibes. But first Ubi game I've owned in a while that made me feel like I was in a real world

Yeah, I miss the great Star Wars game period too.
Many Bothans died to bring you this post.
yeah, Star Wars was one of the few licensed gaming franchises that actually put out consistently excellent games

Fallen Order is good, but I haven't played Survivor yet, so I can't comment on that.

Outlaws, from what I've played is pretty decent, but I heard they had to overhaul a lot of it.

I probably liked it more.

Does a pretty good job of avoiding the "Bag of Spilling" effect of most sequels. You lose some stuff, but for the most part if you ended FO with an ability you start Survivor able to do it.

For example, the single-double-duelwield lightsaber doesn't get conveniently shattered in the first ten minutes, but I don't remember if you keep, like, the fuckin' underwater breathing device or not.

Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor are pretty great. Outlaws is blegh.
Yeah but they came out like 4 years apart. Shit is like a drought >_>

Yeah I remember that era pre 360 when we got them all the time. Episode 1 racer, the rogue squadron series and so on were amazing games.
:)
Remember when they were like "Do you want KOTOR and Jedi Outcast to come out in the same year? and have sequels within 1-2 years?"

That was great >_>

I do not recall there being any underwater sections in Survivor.

I wish we could get that Darth Maul game that never released.

Didney giving exclusivity to EA was a worse sin than the sequels.

Especially since EA did the equivalent of fuck all with it. EA, the master of fucking milking, couldn't milk Star Wars. What the fuck.

I do now that I think about it, that bit on Jedha (?) with the big-ass spider tank thingy attacking Cere's people has an underwater bit.

So you do keep it.

There's underwater parts on Koboh (beneath Pyloon's, scaling the mountain, in the pillars area(this one is purely optional/missable)) but water in general was scaled back.

I played it like a decade after release but Empire at War was awesome, especially after Force Commander and AoE2 in space.

Yes, all 2 of them out of the 12? years of them holding exclusivity >_>

Given the high frequency of media in general now, maybe it's best we only get one or two every few years. Oversaturation has already taken a blow to the Star Wars brand enough as it is.
...I think I'm done here...

I wanted to like EaW so friggin' much but it just doesn't do it for me. It feels like a digital board game instead of a true RTS
