You don't have to kill the Prydwen in the Minuteman ending as long as you don't antagonize the Brotherhood.

It's the only ending that can have three of the factions left after the end. Brotherhood offs Institute and Railroad, Railroad offs Institute and Brotherhood, Institute offs Railroad and Brotherhood.

If you're able to get mods, I sincerely recommend Legendary Equipment Overhaul, Equipment and Crafting Overhaul, and New Equipment Overhaul. All by the same person and meant to interact with each other.

There's a mod available on consoles (and presumably PC) called Subversion that overhauls the final stages of the MQ to allow you to make peace between all 3 major factions in various ways (as well as offering a couple different Institute-path endings where the synths get liberated).

It's spliced / reused dialogue if that kind of thing messes with your immersion, but it worked very well when I tried it out a few weeks ago. I activated it just after arriving at the Institute and didn't have any bugs.

Even though it is buggy, I always find it a bit fun to side with the Minutemen to unlock howitzer support.

I also tend to purchase the Big Boy nuclear launcher from Arturo in Diamond City and max out the Demo. Expert skill. The Two-Shot effect on that launcher, which is otherwise never found on explosive weapons, multiplies the AoE bonus from the 4th rank of Demo. Expert. It becomes quite the room clearing weapon. It's also fun to lock in critical hits at insane ranges that only have a 1% chance to hit normally just to watch the slo-mo of the whistling warhead.

Do the commando and rifleman perks stack? I'm using Sim Settlements 2 and I'm not really used to the system

Do the commando and rifleman perks stack?
By default, no. The perk is governed by:
  • Automatic firing = always Commando
  • Semi-auto with a Stock = Rifleman
  • Semi-auto with a Grip = Gunslinger
So Commando gives a lot of flexibility since it can cover anything from a pistol to a shotgun, so long as the weapon is modded for automatic firing. Rifleman is limited to weapons with Stocks, but that also means you can use stronger receivers such as an Advanced Receiver on a Combat Shotgun(which not only boosts the damage, but provides an unlisted bonus of additional pellets on shotguns).
"I'd rather betray the world than let the world betray me." -Cao Cao
I'm relatively sure Rifleman is considered the stronger option in vanilla.

Especially if you add the Scope perks that knock people over.

I only like the BoS because they actually have a presence in the wasteland. The minutemen are ostensibly defending people but you only ever see the BoS fighting random raiders and shit.

I acquired Piper as a companion and gave her a rifle, I also found an M1 I modded into the game but I don't have much 308 ammo so I just put it away.

I've seen Minutemen patrols around, there are a few spots that spawn a group of Raiders/Gunners and some Brotherhood/Minutemen that fight.

They definitely seem less present since they aren't flying around in Vertibirds, but seeing as how badly that tends to go for the Vertibird it's probably the smart choice.

https://i.imgur.com/6ezFwG1.png
Not to mention the Vertibird patrols are a one time thing. Once they all crash and disappear they're replaced by empty pre-war APC vehicles spawning on the ground somewhere nearby. After that there are just a few Brotherhood members chilling at the airport.

I finally had the BoS show up and killed Kellogg. I have Piper using Kellogg's pistol now, I'm used to using my settlements to make adhesive so I don't end up with as much with SS2.

Good call to do that early. You can keep the knowledge later even if you are no longer with the Railroad.
"I'd rather betray the world than let the world betray me." -Cao Cao
And if you get frustrated with the clothing selections that can take a Weave, one of those crafting mods I mentioned in my first post expands it.

Basically any clothing can get it, and it's supposed to also extend to hats but I think I messed up the installation, only one hat (Felt Hat) has it naturally in my file.

Workaround in-mod, though, it adds a box called an "ECO Entry Point." Put weapon/armor in the box, take it to the crafting table, you get a new option to unlock editing. Damage/fire style/fire rate/range/weight/armor/what it shoots (ammo)/what it shoots (what comes out the end)/number of projectiles, most things become editable. Can't silence an unsilenced weapon, which is frustrating but eh.

So you can manually give hats the tag to accept Weaves, and add things like Asbestos Lining to them.

My regular chest armor has a jetpack.

I finished the mechanist dlc last night. I set up Abernathy farm as my base because I need a settlement that doesn't use SS2 since it always builds to capacity. Can you connect a supply line to the mechanist lair?

Yeah. Provisioners should phase in near the elevator and leave the same way.

I think the only "settlement" you can't build up/supply line is the Airport, and I'm not even sure on the latter.

I tried using supply lines again now that Fallout 4 is actually stable on consoles, but they're still a little too buggy for my liking (settlements incorrectly reading food / water half the time).

At any rate, any settlement where I'd need a supply line almost always ends up getting built / populated to the max anyway, so I don't want to run the risk of supply lines having any impact on performance. My current workaround is to use the Wintermute cyborg mod and activate unrestricted toggling to set individual settlers to self-sufficiency; there's probably an easier way to do this in Cheat Room, but this method also allows me to set them to 24-hour work so they can perform non-traditional jobs like Busy Settler Rugs in tight spaces without constantly bugging out trying to get from their assigned jobs to bed and back. And then I just headcanon that all the produce being produced at farming settlements is getting shipped there.

My character at level 29 also Piper

I cleared the castle and progressed the main quest until the point you go to the memory den. I couldn't find Piper for awhile as I was doing Ada's quests but it turned out she was in Nick's office lol

I have 9 luck because I managed to find a legendary for both my right and left arms

Got to level 39 and got the final armorer perk. Started Far Harbor since radiants kept sending em there anyway. Also pictured Curie in synth armor

Far Harbor has a vendor that sells a fixed Two-Shot Lever-Action Rifle. I often go there as early as possible to get it...although, if memory serves, you can't get its ammo as drops in the non-DLC parts for some reason. The perk that make vendor prices less crappy is helpful, though.

The stuttering happens randomly but it does seem to happen a lot when fast traveling to Sanctuary. Crashes are almost always fast travel related.

Are you overbuilding Sanctuary + Red Rocket + Abernathy? IIRC that area's known as the Circle of Death due to three settlements basically occupying the same giant loading cell. Settlement population is the biggest killer, particularly if you have settlers added by mods.

Red Rocket is the worst. On my current playthrough I have a fully-decorated RR with four settlers and I consider it a minor miracle that it runs smoothly (and that's only because I have no building and minimal populations at Sanctuary and Abernathy).

Overbuilding settlements is usually the quickest train to Crashburg, so I'd start there. Population is the biggest killer - you can build a zero-pop settlement four times over the build limit and all you'll get is some framerate drop, but once you add settlers to the mix the crashing will ramp up significantly. Between Sanctuary, Red Rocket, and Abernathy, I'd pick one settlement to populate and move any settlers living at the other two elsewhere (apart from the fixed settlers like Mama Murphy and the Abernathys).

Create a hardsave backup (in case you need to revert back to it later), make your changes, play for a little bit, and see if that makes any noticeable stability improvement.

Barring mods like that, where your settlements are overloading themselves, the only crashes in the main game had to do with the 'wetness' effect on certain graphics cards. Basically if you turn that setting off the game would generally be fine; maybe a bit choppy when riding Vertibirds because the engine can barely handle the travel speed.

I'm using a 3070 if that is one
She keeps her Moet et Chandon In her pretty cabinet
Well the 'wetness' thing only occurs when it rains in the game. The setting is meant to add a layer of reflectivity to items, including any metal weapons you hold.

That same glitch can, instead of crashing the game, lead to a ghostly afterimage world that is all black shadows with a few burning white objects serving as a stark contrast.

If you're getting consistent crashes near Sanctuary it's probably due to mods and how the game budgets engine resources.

Some Cleaning Mods screw the place up because they separate too much stuff.

Supposedly that's negligible on PC, though I have no personal experience. On XB, Scrap That Settlement is one of if not the only legit scrapping mod; I've used it for years with no issues that could be directly traced back to it (I tried other scrapping mods before that which tanked game stability within a couple hours of playtime).
