Finally giving it a try, feels very much like a mid 2010s game as far as graphics.
Going through the tutorial, it's kind of like a zoo game with your "animals" being humans from different time periods and you have to decorate their enclosure and provide amenities with time period-appropriate things.
I see that there's the standard assortment of staff for hire - janitors, security, entertainers, etc. You can also hire scientists. And conduct research experiments for research points to unlock new items and stuff which is kinda nice, I think I like that over the generic "put money into some unnamed project and hope you get what you want".
It's got some Parkitect-style beauty mechanic, so things like power generators and water plants reduce happiness and need to be hidden. and you need to power and provide water to facilities (the bathroom at least requires water).
One thing I don't like is that certain features don't align with the standard requirements for enclosures. What I mean is, you have to build wall sections with windows. Well, the minimum enclosure size is 10x10, but the windowed wall sections occupy 3.5 or 4 tiles so you can't just make a full wall with windows... just a pet peeve though. I like when things naturally line up.
