Finally giving it a try, feels very much like a mid 2010s game as far as graphics.

Going through the tutorial, it's kind of like a zoo game with your "animals" being humans from different time periods and you have to decorate their enclosure and provide amenities with time period-appropriate things.

I see that there's the standard assortment of staff for hire - janitors, security, entertainers, etc. You can also hire scientists. And conduct research experiments for research points to unlock new items and stuff which is kinda nice, I think I like that over the generic "put money into some unnamed project and hope you get what you want".

It's got some Parkitect-style beauty mechanic, so things like power generators and water plants reduce happiness and need to be hidden. and you need to power and provide water to facilities (the bathroom at least requires water).

One thing I don't like is that certain features don't align with the standard requirements for enclosures. What I mean is, you have to build wall sections with windows. Well, the minimum enclosure size is 10x10, but the windowed wall sections occupy 3.5 or 4 tiles so you can't just make a full wall with windows... just a pet peeve though. I like when things naturally line up.

First a Killer Klowns game, now this.
"You're made of spare parts, aren't ya, bud?"
Building is not as intuitive as in the two point games that I am playing right now. Like it would be nice to just be able to right-click on an enclosure and instantly pull up filtered results about what you need for that enclosure, but... no such option.

Building is also almost too simplified. Benches and water fountains take up one whole tile *off* of a path which is obscene to me lmao.

The Martians generate a ton of waste from the drink and food shops but for some reason the shops say they're not making any money

@wanderingshade - I want to try that Killer Klowns game, is it good?

It's about the same as any other Asymmetrical Multiplayer game, I think. Although I dunno if the others really slow roll loadout unlocks like Killer Klowns does.

Assumed this was one of those porn parody games because of the title.
LURKING HARD!
or hardly lurking, see?

I played a while back when there was a free weekend and I wasn't super impressed. I usually got dropped into the middle of a match, some bots replaced people who left, ran into some bugs, progression is slow too.

There's not a lot of players left overall, it's sucks to see the devs not really bothering to address the core issues but to be fair they did take over development half way through the development cycle so I think the game was fucked from the start and there's not much they can do without breaking the game.

I wanted to really like it because I love the movie but I was disappointed.

I don't blame the devs, illfonic for the game not being what is should be I blame the original dev team who just sold it of to illfonic halfway through the dev cycle.
I believe in Joe Hendry!!
