Yeah people forget this is a Captain America movie, not an Avengers movie. You knew who was gonna come on top from the title alone.

Granted, that rule didn't exactly hold out for the Avengers in Infinity War .

Yeah, they made Vision so much weaker than he should've been.
I like to believe Vision was holding back a lot .

Tony Stark also had a really good viewpoint on the situation. Unchecked power leads to the masses suffering for their actions. I felt like his concerns were thrown to the wayside by the end of the film.

Literally everyone except BP were pulling punches in that fight, but yeah team IM had almost all the power in that fight. Wanda hadnt really reached her potential at that point.

Sure, but on the other hand imagine the Avengers having to answer to Trump and Musk.

Nah. It's definitely a mulligan for Age of Ultron.

The reason they titled it the way they did? They had probably just already pitched, greenlit and funded a Captain America movie and the higher ups only paid attention to the title.

The problem is the movie never at any point offered a remotely reasonable suggestion on how to address those concerns. They were fighting to enact UN oversight, which was a ridiculously horrible plan that created a far, far worse problem than unchecked power. It would have been power checked by an entity that had been proven to be heavily compromised by evil, and demonstrably would have made more bad choices than good.

It's genuinely worse than that in the MCU, who's governing bodies have previously done things like nuking New York, having the Vice President try to kill the President and, most significantly, the revelation that the super global protector organization is actually run by a terrorist organization spun off of from Nazis.

Like, in principle, I agree that unchecked power is bad. But in the MCU the checking powers are so much worse.
