really wish mark at the start had asked to take the fight out of the city conquest (at that stage) likely would have shrugged and agreed (later obviously when his battle lust was going he would not care)Yeah I was commenting to myself he should have asked to take it somewhere else and explain he can't go all out like Conquest wants if he's putting civilians in danger.
thoe the slaughtering of civilians is just getting boringAs nice as the fight was and mirroring a savage and devasting moment from season 1 to emphasize the brutality of it all, you bring up a good point imo. I probably won't get tired of it but it kinda happens all the time.
it has no weight to it anymore
hell mark getting his ass kicked has no weight anymore
So if she has no mental blockers she can pretty much do anything?Yes, which is why Lance Reddick wanted her so bad in the special over the other experiments. If she doesn't have the blockers, she would more or less be on the same level as Doctor Manhattan with the exception of the omniscience.
Mark was smart enough to ask to see Conquest's body to confirm he was dead, but not smart enough to watch the GDA burn him. That's gonna come back to bite him in the ass.Cecil is sure doing his best to make sure the rift between him and Mark remains. Even if Cecil is able to learn shit that not even the Coalition of Planets knows (which is unlikely, given how Conquest's job was in his name), that would be yet another time he's lied straight to Mark's face, only this is on a completely different level than "yeah we sent that villain and vigilante who killed people to prison."
I agree with Acemos regarding the slaughtering of citizens...it lost all of its shock value and seeing it happen was unnecessary with all the collateral damage. Its a bit of a Kirkman thing I feel like. Comic Spoilers .
With that said, this was a fantastic episode with a great finale landing. I'm guessing this is where all the budget went into, because the fight looked fantastic. Honestly, I didn't even notice the downgrade in animation, only because this season has been very engaging.
Anyways, looking forward to the next season.
Conquest shaping a fucking blood heart bubble in space. LolNormally I'd agree, but Cecil is pretty smart. He wouldn't be relying on the block of Tungsten to keep him contained, he would have the sonic emitters all over the place, and a micro emitter implanted somewhere inside him too.
Also man, I want to like Cecil and I get it but fuck man, keeping Conquest around us just asking for trouble.

Too many loose threads at the end, gonna have to wait for season 4!
Just seeing all the shit gearing up at the end. Gonna be wild. Didn't they say they were only doing 4-5 seasons or was I thinking of The Boys, since that is ending this coming season? The Boys is 5 seasons, I think Kirkman said that if Invincible covered the whole run it'd be 8 Seasons or so, which would check out.

Invincible's first outright bad episode.Today I learned that Episode 6 of Season 1 didn't exist, and neither did Episode 2 of Season 2.
Cecil is sure doing his best to make sure the rift between him and Mark remains. Even if Cecil is able to learn s*** that not even the Coalition of Planets knows (which is unlikely, given how Conquest's job was in his name), that would be yet another time he's lied straight to Mark's face, only this is on a completely different level than "yeah we sent that villain and vigilante who killed people to prison."See, the thing with Cecil is that he does a lot of questionable shit, but at no point has it seemed like he's doing it for personal gain. He really seems to have the bigger picture in mind.

I haven't read the comics, so I've no idea how off the mark I am with my assessment!

He really seems to have the bigger picture in mind.Oh definitely, I didn't mean to imply some personal gain, just that this is a ticking time bomb situation where
my point is he wanted to fight mark and if moving out of the city gets him that he would agreeNo, he wouldn't. Every Viltrumite we've seen, even other Marks from other universes, are fundamentally just assholes. Even the seemingly good guy one working for the Planetary Alliance or whatever took Alan off life support.
and even if conquest would have ignored it the attempt would still go a long wayExcept Mark tried. And conquest just told him to stfu.
No, he wouldn't. Every Viltrumite we've seen, even other Marks from other universes, are fundamentally just assholes. Even the seemingly good guy one working for the Planetary Alliance or whatever took Alan off life support. To have a modicum of credit to him, that was so Allen could get the zenkai boost and Thadeus even admitted it was a scummy move to do.

That was the right move. Without Alan's power boost, he wouldn't be able to do what he did, and then everyone would be fucked.Oh, I know he had his reasons, but it was still an asshole thing to do lol.
The closest we got so far was Powerplex's backstory, and that was good, but you get my point.I wouldn't be surprised if more villains with Powerplex's backstory arise out of these two incidents (Alt-Marks and Conquest)
So who was darkblood talking about at the endPretty sure we're meant to think it's Invincible, but I'm betting it's a misdirect.
