So is it safe to say most people in this topic only watch Hololive? I was expecting a lot more discussion on the Sinder scandal but I feel like most of you don't even know who she is. It's blowing up the indie vtuber scene the last couple daysAs far as drama goes, it's def open and shut right now. Dug a hole, put her foot in her mouth, then decided to keep digging.

So Matara got fired from Vshojo.Sounds like she just didn't like showing up for meetings but it was otherwise an amicable parting.

I was expecting a lot more discussion on the Sinder scandal but I feel like most of you don't even know who she is.I read a bit about it to learn what happened, read a bit more when a friend on discord said she posted what she calls an apology and a bit more when Shylily responded to it but really not that much to talk about, she's just blaming someone else and digging her own hole deeper. Pretty much same thing with Matara leaving Vshojo, they're spltting up on friendly terms so not much to discuss.
when they remove all content I think that means he left on bad terms. He was a friend of Selen/Doki and was pretty vocal on his PL that being in the "black stream" left a bad taste in his mouth. I never cared for his content, but likely that. He was one of the cash cow generation so probably had a hard time actually being given an out.
I can imagine some folks going indie just so they can actually talk to people in a little more detail about their job, a perfectly normal thing to do for every other profession out there.it would be nice if it were this simple but a lot of the inability to talk about it I think comes not from the company (although there is certainly some of that) but from the fame. it's a personal privacy sort of thing, that you just have to deal with when you are a somewhat big name (hololive is waaaay past "somewhat". even smaller corpos are reaching this) and that fame is not easy to get rid of.
She could quit the internet entirely for a whole year, reappear under a completely new and unrelated identity, and people would find and identify her and she'd have like 20k viewers within a few days

The only actual streams I watch come from my "oshi".
