My copy actually shipped on time despite saying I wouldn't get it in March... Wish I hadn't gotten so engrossed in Chapter 2 of Pirate Yakuza and actually progressed further before it came out...Drop that shit and play the good game tomorrow
The lance feels so good in the actual game.
While I do think the lance's new tricks in wilds is neat, I did not care for them removing the O+X while holding block power guard.
A lot of players voices their disappointment in this, so for the main game capcom actually put the power guard back while still letting the lance keep the new combo counter guard move and whatnot. It just works so much better now imo. At first I was going to drop the lance as my main weapon, but I like it so much with this first hunt that I am going right back to it.
I feel like theyve definitely gone hard on the weapons. I usually main one new weapon per game but Im thinking about playing 3 this time. Maybe moreYeah the greatsword feels mad nice too. I plan on using the lance, the greatsword, the dual blades and the bow so far.

I try, and I try, but I just can't seem to get into MHJust use the guns
Already beat the game. Great game and GOTY contender.Hows the replayability?
Hows the replayability?Yea plus Artisan Weapons. Mostly just improving Hunter Rank
I assume it's charm farming
they're probably going to addHopefully they fix the typo as well.arch-temperedmonsters etc. If those are not in yet.
I'm at the end of chapter 3 I think. Just beatI've only ever been decent with Longsword. I think I did get used to switch axe in world, but I'm currently maining Great Sword and it's not too bad. I could never land a hit in previous games or find time to charge it. But it seems much quicker now.Arkveld.Pretty cool fight and probably the first "difficult" fight. Still haven't carted yet but it's low rank so whatever.
Switch Axe main but I'm kinda interested in the bows for the first time. Never really got what's so special or fun about them but I want to change it up. I've only ran dual swords and switch axe my entire MH career.
Still in Low Rank. The story is not nearly good enough to justify how intrusive it is. JRPGs are my favorite genre. I can sit back and let cutscenes play out if they are entertaining and I'm immersed. Definitely not the case here. I'm also a World sperm and miss the hell out of Clutch Claw and Wirebug.Wirebug was awesome, but I'm so glad the clutch claw is gone.
Capcom, WHERE IS MY MIZUTSUNE? I WAS PROMISED A MIZUTSUNE!Title Update 1. Which is supposed to be in early April.
I fell into the hype and got it despite not really trying anything else in the series. This story railroading me fucking sucks. I just want to bop monsters with my hammer. My suggestion: ignore everything except red quest marks until credits roll, then hunt to make yourself some low tier high rank equipment, then continue ignoring everything until you finish the rest of the story. Skip all cutscenes the story is especially bad even for monster Hunter standards lol.
I do like the gameplay though. For what it's worth, I'm up to rank 4 and beat some sort of lightning dragon. I've heard the story isn't super long and will plow through so I can do the challenging content.

I just want to bop monsters with my hammer.Yeah, the story sucks this time around. And they put such a heavy focus on it too. The previous games that had a story focus were much more balanced, it was more about just going out hunting until you stumbled upon something strange, then get a short cutscene discussing it before moving on with more hunts to find the cause of the issues. Actually felt you were investigating things and making progress and the story events were spaced out.

This game feels like it reversed it, now it's constant story events with maybe 1 fight between. The worst part is they give you absolutely no indication of what you're about to do before you do it.
Like geeze maybe let me know you're throwing me into an inferno so I can unequip my -20 fire resistance armor?
doesn't matter.It doesn't but still
