Also the Max Galactica and Regina age gap is not good
Characters in a circus make Phoenix feel awkward.

Also, what do you think of Terry Fawles and Dahlia Hawthornes relationship? He was five - six years older than her.

I thought the same thing. Even if she were older, I would still disapprove of those creeps trying to get with her. I think she might have special needs, which would explain her behavior and worldview during the entire case. Even naive shut ins have more sense of the world than she does. At least I hope she has special needs. Otherwise she is a terrible person.
She was raised in a circus, so a main part of her identity is that what is normal and regular every day culture is unknown to her, and the weirdness and absurdity of the circus is her normal regular every day life. Its required that she think like this to give her a motive to do what she did. She doesnt have any worldview, her life doesnt extend beyond the circus. And the revelation
is teaching her what she did was wrong and real life isnt like what she knows of the circus. From the perspective of a normal person, youre supposed to think she is a terrible person. She talks about death so casually as the only thing she was taught is that a person becomes a star in the sky, which she thinks of as being literal.
