Today I had fried rice and omelette for breakfast, personally I enjoy savory breakfast over sweet and processed carbs. Didnt take pics.

Ill try to take pics today. Havent taken any.

Moved to another hotel and beach on the Island.

Spending 3 more nights before we go off to Phi Phi for 2 nights.

Thailand has a lot going for it, but Id say that Vietnam has more or less everything Thailand has, except for the number of weed shops and the open sex trade, neither of which appeal to me.

Enoying it atm. Its really cheap compared to my country. So much so we dont care if we pay more for a taxi cuz its still cheap and cba complocate things. Haggling is fun, we were at a market before.

I must have some resistance to bugs and bites here. Only gotten a few bites, even stopped using mosquito spray. And the bites are barely visible and pretty much no itch. Mosquitos in Sweden give worse bites for me. While my bf gets a bite it gets big, swollen red and very itchy.

Yeah I heard. Prob not gonna explore the nature like that this trip most likely. Im scared of everything dangerous so it has been a bit of a challenge, which is one reason for my trip.

Also, found a great restaurant, best Laab this far, had 3 before. We shared that and a Pad See Ew. Both were great, I got to give thanks and say the meal was very delicious in Thai to the chef who was an old lady. It was my top meal this far.

Place felt authentic and not touristy.

Sadly I was so in the experience I didnt take pics.

I also went to phuket in 2013 for snorkeling and it was beautiful. Dunno how the reef fares in 2025 though, a lot of shallow reef ecosystem are damaged since

Ended up in Patong. I kinda enjoy city view with some volume over a silent sea view.

But we still havent found a perfect place for us. Me might go to Chiang Mai in few days, well see.

Missing is herbs and veggies I got on the side, sawtooth coriander, mint, lettuce and bean sprouts.

Dont remember the name but it was a variant of Boat Noodles, but in a full meal portion. Unsure if they had blood in it like real boat noodles. It was very tasty, I added chili flakes thats been toasted in oil on top.

Pretty much sweet and salty breaded sardines. Some even have small bones. The sardine flavor is powerful in the after taste.

Tomorrow we flying to Chiang Mai, spending 3 nights. Found a deal for a small villa, own private pool. Within the walls part.

We arrived in Chiang Mai, found a villa in the old town with private pool and a hot tub 66% off in Booking.

Fanciest but not the most expesive place we stayed at.

Right down the street we found a chill reggae bar, first one we been in here in Thailand. Such a nice contrast to crazy Patong. Also humidity is 35% not nearly 80% so I dont explode in Sweat.

Chiang Mai seem promising.

Just read about that, I wonder what happened.

We have been careful, Im afraid of everything so Its been a bit tough. But on friday I go home and Im just now starting to be comfortable with Thailand and its gonna be so sad to leave.

Chiang Mai has been the best part of this trip, Koh Lanta has been second best.

But things can be dangerous, even of its a crosswalk with busy traffic you gotta watch out. I just walk with the locals/ppl that know this flow and its been fine.

But we have until Friday left, we keep being careful.

Today we had some messy but delish streetfood we ate with hands and plastic gloves. Fried chicken with fries (not really thai with fries but yeh) and a seafood mix, that had thai flavors.

In Bangkok now final days. Chiang Mai was fantastic.

Had Papaya Sallad with salted eggs, grilled chicken and sticky rice for dinner which was delish!

Last night in Thailand, wake up early in about 6 hours.

There has been challenges but Thailand works for me, I mean bugs barely touch me and bites barely give a reaction. My stomach has never been this good, never had stomach issues.

And as a foodie Im in heaven, and its just not Thai food thats been delish, we had great Korean food last night, forgot to take a pic and the one I took was blocked by my phone case.
