That's just sick AF

Anyway, the comments spoiled something for me that I'm curious about. So for anyone who's beaten this game, apparently Sada and Turo have been dead the entire game? How does that work out?

Yeah, the final stretch of the game is definitely the best part

Yeah, the professor was killed by a pokemon before the game starts. When they contact you, it's a robot double the professor made beforehand. Since their colleagues couldn't keep up with their obsessive work habits, they made a robot copy of themself. The copy wants to stop the flow of dangerous paradox pokemon emerging from the professor's machine, but knows the machine's security system will override their own AI to prevent that from happening. So they recruit you to defeat them when it does.

Also yeah, the final boss music is rad. Even better if you're familiar with the motifs in it from playing the game.

Oh wow, that's actually a cool plot idea. I don't expect inventive stuff from Pokemon stories but that has my attention.

As many problems as scarlet and violet has the music is genuinely good
This is a signature to draw attention away from the fact that I don't have a signature.

It is. Several of the battle themes are really good and the overworld music isn't bad either. And I'll never stop ranting and raving about how criminally underused the Team Star Grunt battle theme is. It's in like six one-time fights in the whole game and none of them are long enough to let you hear the whole thing or dramatic enough to do it justice. It really sounds like it belongs in the emotional climax of a story.

It still has technical problems that plague it from beginning to end, many of which are egregious and cant be ignored. However, Ive said this here before: this game probably has the best late/post game a Pokmon game has had in a while (especially with the DLC). Its a shame that this generation didnt have more time in development to iron out the flaws.

Feel the love...
fun fact, this theme and a few others (the overworld theme, area zero, and the raid theme at least) were made by Toby Fox

Yeah. Say what you want about SV, but the music is incredible. The final boss theme, area zero theme and a few others are top tier

Depends on how you define good. The game is really fun, but it has graphical issues that put people off.
The difference between fiction and reality is that fiction has to make sense.
And performance issues. It'll slow down a ton while you're exploring. And crash occasionally. Just keep auto save turned on.

Dead isn't the right word. They got stuck in time. They left an android behind to finish their work if something happened to them.

no, Koraidon/Miraidon mauled them to death, and pretty sure that's how Arven's Mabosstiff got injured too. The stuff with meeting them in the DLC through the crystal pool is before any of that happened

It's the most fun I've had in a Pokemon game since I was a kid, you just have to get past the performance issues. I was lucky and didn't have any game-breaking glitches, just low framerate that makes the game laggy
I agree that I had a lot of fun with the game, but not only did I have the lag, but I also had the game crash a few times.

My sister as well. In fact, she had her game crash once right after defeating a Gym Leader, but before the game loaded back into the Gym lobby, so she had to do it all over again.

Didn't they say something about going through the time portal knowing it was a one way trip?

That was the robot copy.

The actual professors were explicitly stated to have been killed by the aggressive Koraidon/Miraidon when they tried protecting the more meek Korai/Mirai.

The final act is actually cool af, it's only a shame the story didn't really focus on it.

Another really good song imo (Second DLC spoilers)

I used the knife. I saved a child. I won a war. God forgive me.
I got 56 songs from scarlet and violet on my Playlist. It's a great ost.

If it weren't for the performance issues ScVi would be top tier.

Just bought Pokemon Scarlet. Imagine buying a game just because you liked its final boss theme. I mean, I don't have to imagine since that's exactly what I did but still lol

Hope you enjoy it. Also on that note, have you played Octopath 1 and 2?

They have been making the Pokemon professor's unreasonably hot ever since Gen 5.
Also that part at the end where your only action is to use the rideable Pokemon is pure dimes and arguably the peak of the entire franchise.

Okay. Just like, if you're looking to buy other games for absolute baller boss music, they both fit the bill. Also they're so good and fun in general. In a less broken way than SV.

Enjoy the game. There are plenty of reasons to hate on the games, but they are still really good.

Octopath 1 has got some of the best battle music in any RPG I've ever played.

Even the character intros are amazing.

This is Primrose's theme right before a boss in her chapter

I fuckin' love how they do that with the character themes and boss music. And then the second game takes it a step further with their final battles.
