So its clear he wants to break everything...he really is a madman that has to be stopped.
That would mean theres no regulation against breaking into his house while hes sleeping and tattooing a dick on his forehead.

Not that Im encouraging anyone to do so, just observing that no regulation against it would exist.

They want to add back in regulations every time someone dies because that's why there were made in the first place. What fun.
"You're made of spare parts, aren't ya, bud?"
They realize they elimination of regulations would be more costly... But no, of course not. Everyone here is stupid.
The first thing I said when I heard about Doge was that he would go after regulations.
He has been against them before because earning money is more important than a safe workspace.

If he does this I might be out of a job seeing as I literally work on software to assist with compliance with regulations.

And if it turns out that we missed the mark on a regulation, we can always add it back in.

If they can add it back, then one must be able to report it, right?

Pretty dumb reason, tbh. Regulations aren't the reason employers lose money when a worker gets injured on the job.

Strictly speaking, no they didn't. Elon Musk was not on the ballot so nobody voted for him. >_>

This entire admin so far has been a world class example of how not to run a government.

Reminds me of the Senator who tried to say there shouldn't be regulations requiring restaurant employees to wash their hands. Like yeah let's just let there be a spike in incidents of food poisoning and hope maybe a market correction happens after the fact.

Elon Musk was jumping like a lunatic at Trump rallies before the election, it was easy to assume he'd be involved in the government somehow

Creating this department to cut government with Musk in charge is something Trump said he was going to do before he was elected. This wasn't some secret plan Trump sprung on everyone after the fact.

Elon still isn't an elected official or has gone through a process of being confirmed by congress.

He wants to overwork them, pay less than minimum wage and then fire them if they gets injured.

He wants slavery. He's a Nazi, he wants to be able to enslave the "inferiors ". Pretty sure that's clear by now...

And we're probably going to let that happen because the American people are incomprehensibly lazy on anything not involving genitals or where they're going.
When workers start getting hurt and dying (more than before) how is it going to help our economy?

I was responding to the idea that what's happening now with DOGE isn't what people voted for. I'm not saying this is what Trump voters necessarily wanted. Maybe they didn't pay enough attention to what he was saying or maybe they convinced themselves he wouldn't/couldn't actually do it. Either way, this is a thing Trump said he was going to do, and the American people elected him president, so this is a thing they voted for.

It's annoying because I'm really open to the idea of making things easier to do and build by rethinking various regulations and processes, because bad regulations do exist, but fucks like Elon just negatively polarize the idea of good regulation reform because he's so fucking untrustworthy
Trump is pursuing a chaotic far-right overthrow of existing US government norms and checks and balances, trying to destroy our way of life.
As they say..."regulation are written in blood". So fucking incredible that the richest guy in the world is being allowed to do all this.
