Obviously it depends to some extent on your employer and the place you move to, but I literally just had to go to an office my employer sent to me to once a year. Theyd send somebody with me to translate and do all the busy work. All I had to do was have my photo taken and sign a couple of forms.
I dont even need to do that now that Im married.
But they arranged a place for me to live when I arrived, booked all my flights got all my visas and residency stuff sorted, arranged to have my stuff shipped over, etc. Aside from a long flight, it was pretty painless.
