I'm a ? Block. No, punching me won't give you power ups.
What was the point to this? Oh he has a guilty mark on his record. BIG FUCKING DEAL! What a complete waste of time, and an even bigger waste of a cowardly judge. People in power needs to stop being so scared of Trump and his idiot fanbase.

Hey, everyone, what's going on in this topic? Oh.
not surprised really

why I havent even paid any attention to this crap
where are you going
nowhere interesting but maybe Just for a stroll
Biden and Garland did the same and let him get away with everything, but now we know how chummy they all are together so it shouldn't be a shock anymore.

I don't think any of you guys truly appreciate how today was essential for Trump to officially become a felon. New York requires this.

Did you want him to not be a felon?

Yeah seriously, the time for We, the People to act was on November 5th. We didn't do that, so here we are.
He got less for 34 felonies than you will if youre pulled over for failing to come to a complete stop at a stop sign.

The food here is terrible. My steak was so tough it attacked my coffee and the coffee was too weak to defend itself.
It's why I barely followed all the Trump trial topics. You knew this was going to happen and getting all excited for his downfall was pointless from the beginning

True... but this was a New York case, and the people of New York (which I am one) overwhelming voted against Trump.

This Judge does NOT work for the Federal government, he works for the people of New York,

The people of New York investigated Trump
The people of New York arrested Trump
The people of New York prosecuted Trump
The people of New York put Trump on trial
The people of New York found Trump guilty.... THIRTY FOUR TIMES

And some dumb ass, piss poor judge decides to ignore the people and not do the thing he was suppose to.

It's all part of the plan. It was all just a spectacle. The elite protect each other. They're the only ones with any class conscience. There is no left and right, only up and down.

At least you can now call him a convicted felon and be legally correct

Sad, but I know it's true.

I guess we were just naively hoping at least with this trial they would at PRETEND there is equal justice.

I still think there is value in hin literally being a felon now, but obviously no punishment is weak AF. And I know his base isn't going to care, I wonder in 30 years how this will all be viewed when the dust settles. I would hope not good but the thing is you just don't know.

Hey now.
I wish I got no punishments for my crime but I had to take classes, pay a fine, and see a diversion officer for year.

Im so fucking done with our justice system.

i would be fine with it if rich people actually had to pay their dues too.

Could've sworn I saw something on LegalEagle awhile back where he said even if the judge had imposed a sentence it would not have stuck. Judge just decided to hasten that process and bend the knee.
I'm sure it wouldn't have. Nothing would have happened while Trump was in office, and then 4 years later when he left office they'd make a deal.

But give us fucking something. If he was sentenced to jail time, his people would have to work to knock that fines and community service. But if he doesn't have to do anything then that means the whole trial was a waste of everyone time (and New York Tax payers money).

As already stated
I am a New York State resident, I did not put enough money in the meter last week and got a $50 parking violation.

I was given a harsher sentence than a man with 34 felonies, same NYS justice system.

What does that accomplish? Aside from him being seriously upset by it and being able to point out that MAGA support a criminal

System working as intended.
"If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know how amazing you can be."
Shameful. Perhaps he did so in order to stay alive?
Just call me Discount Dan.
The only accountablility for people of his wealth will come from political and economic action, not from the courts. The system is made from the ground up to privilege the wealthy and powerful.

Also, trying to spin the bare fact of his felony status as "important" somehow is a loser of an argument. It was a loser even before this announcement, much less now. They were already putting it on T-shirts. Now, "but 34 felonies" will be nothing but a punchline going forward. The people who needed to care, the "moderate Republicans" and the judges absolutely refused to.

Focus on other ways of fighting Trump.
I gotta be righteous, I gotta be me, I gotta be conscious, I gotta be free, I gotta be able, I gotta attack, I gotta be stable, I gotta be black.
I know this won't happen.

I hope the next criminal before this judge, unless they are convicted for 35 felons, should be able to argue that the under this judge's ruling a precedent is set that 34 felons or less do not qualify for jail time or fines.

Can you imagine how much Republicans would be rampaging for justice if Biden committed a fraction of the crimes Trump did

Like, it's insane how Democrats are held to such high standards and Republicans can just do whatever the fuck they want without repercussion

Probably because he's vindictive and threatens people he doesn't like. Not to mention his crazy followers would rise up and start shit if he went to jail.

Its just sad that I could get a bigger punishment for a misdemeanor than he would get for 34 felonies.

Then why bother

Honestly I am even mildly pleased that they went through with sentencing even it it amounts to nothing. I was fully expecting the verdict to be vacated bc of some made up immunity.

More cowardice from the vanguards of our justice system. Really shows how fragile all our institutions truly are when they can be disintegrated by one idiot celebrity.
This is like the old mobster days when cops and judges would let them get away with murder out of fear. And the American people will just sit back and watch it happen all over again.
This is where cool people write stuff.
We knew days ago this would be guilty with no punishment. If the Supreme Court had blocked this sentencing I guarantee the same people posting in this topic would be here right now expressing their anger that he didnt even get the guilty without punishment sentence.
