I like a lot of Korean programming that I've seen, but as far as zombie stuff goes, they make my least favorite.Train to Busan? That's a fantastic movie
Train to Busan? That's a fantastic movieyea, I didn't like it.
yea, I didn't like it.I don't get what you do and don't like. Could it ever be the mood you are in? Not trying to argue, but I have seen enough of what you like vs don't to not understand it at all.
Didn't they say they were going to do another season of All of Us Are Dead? It's on hold right now
You seen Hellbound? I haven't but am curious.
If you havent seen it, #Alive on Netflix is a sleeper Korean Zombie movie.Mentioned it in my first post

Train to Busan was total paint by numbers cornball schlock from beginning to end, hitting every stupid trope along the way. That trash is in no way comparable to the real geniuses of the genre. It's got a fun moment or two surrounded by absolutely HORRIBLE acting all around.Lmao
It's completely artless, in my opinion, and its not just Busan. Korean zombie movies and ESPECIALLY series have always gotten by on paper thin themes that are too shallow for a middle schooler.
I genuinely wish I could get into it, but they're 50+ years behind on the genre.
Kingdom(really wish they would continue this series)
Lmao
So was my review funny or are you saying I'm off base? Cuz I could go on about just about everything.Very off base
Very off base
Oh is that an alt? I was seeing what that guys take was.No, I don't use alts. But I have little respect for people who say BS like this...
I dont think me and you are going to have much to talk about here. Im obviously looking for more of a conversation about this CGI fest than "fantastic movie" and "lmao".
paper thin themes that are too shallow for a middle schooler... and think they are better than others simply for having a different opinion.
I guess, for me, little things can throw me off.Now this is someone I can have a conversation with, even if I disagree. And sorry I missed your reply before.
like, I don't like how quickly people become zombies in Korean zombie fiction, and act like rabid fiends.
I know it's a cliche, but I like scenes in zombie stuff (when handled correctly), when someone is bit and the drama that unfolds about them turning into a monster, the tension of them maybe hiding a bite, and so on.
for Korean zombies, there's maybe the drama around losing someone, or fearing that you will, but everything feels more immediate - action, loss, events at hand.
... and think they are better than others simply for having a different opinion.
Then its a good thing I dont think or say that. What I did say was that Zombies on a Train didn't make you, an adult, think about much, did it? Im not saying you're below me, Im saying it's below you.Okay, maybe I was being a dipshit
Now this is someone I can have a conversation with, even if I disagree. And sorry I missed your reply before.thanks, it's all good.
