Best Pokemon Tournament: Round 99

Here we go! After four months of preliminaries, we've narrowed it down to our final 128 -- now to narrow it down to the single best Pokemon.

You all know how this works, I've run enough of these damn tournaments. Vote for your favorite of the two Pokemon presented; the winner will move on in the bracket, the loser gets to stay in a PC Box for all eternity.

Rounds last 24 hours, give or take; sometimes I'm not always at my computer right on time, or have to post the next one a little early so I can move on to other parts of my day. It might also happen that I'm not able to post the next round on time at all, but I'll at least end the poll if I'm able to in that case.

If there's a tie that refuses to break, it will be decided with a quick Lightning Round. I'll go over what that entails if and when it comes up.

Volcarona is one of my favorite pokemon period

They're both great, but Talonflame is awesome.

You're right. They've each had some surprising victories to get here. They've toppled a starter and a pseudo legendary, and surpassed opponents that have beaten an eeveelution and another starter.

Idk which one I like more though. They're both pretty cool.

Volcarona and it isn't close.Talonflame is part of one of the best starter bird lines, though.

Interesting. I voted for Talonflame, expecting it to be losing handily, but it's tied as of my vote.

Talonflame is ok... It was great for a while in competitive I know despite not playing competitive but it's not great in game... The fire starter is the choice in every game so it doesn't really leave room for it with his heavily overlapping typing.

Volcarona is awesome though.

Volcarona isn't too surprising. Musharna was an easy victory. Hydreigon is fairly popular, but if you compare his popularity to the rest of the pseudos, it's probably more middle of the pack. Volcarona is kind of similar too. Same generation and same absurdly high level evolution.

Talonflame's victories are pretty surprising though. From what I recall, Toxicroak was actually leading the poll for a good while before Talonflame shot ahead.

Had Toxicroak won that match, this one would be a much tougher pick. Definitely going with Volcarona here.

Both are cool, Volcarona is cooler.

Volcarona probably. Dont dislike either but unless we get Cubone vs Mareep this is probably the weakest matchup left in the tourney for me.

I legit love Volcarona. Talonflame is cool, and respect for taking out Incineroar, but doesn't come close for me.

Talonflame is a little too orthodox cool. Volcarona is pokcool.
