My new year's tradition: requesting credit limit increases on all my cards

2 got approved automatically.
1 got sent for review.
1 got rejected :(

Hopefully that's going inch my credit score up 2 or 3 points.

Y'all should do this yearly as well to play that credit score optimization game.

By a coincidence I just raised my limit yesterday. I always pay it off and treat it like cash but I raised it because I'm getting ready to buy a new tv and AVR and the limit wasn't high enough and I want to get the rewards for it rather than just write a check.

I used to always keep a low limit on it but just last year in July I raised the limit on it to get the reward from my tablet purchase I was going to do and now raised it again for the upcoming tv and AVR purchase.

Yeah, before I did this regularly myself, I'd probably get an increase every 3-5 years. But by asking, I get it every 1-2 years.

And that feels good, because number must go up.

I also need to contribute to my Roth IRA, but apparently I'm basically cleaned out after Christmas. Gotta wait until my paycheck next Friday.
