I know you said it's a spiritual successor to the Wii Fit series, but she's still not in it.
According to SmashWiki, her last appearance was as a cameo in WarioWare Gold, which is a 3DS title.
Not in that, either, but yeah, you'll have to make do with either NSO Punch-Out, or his cameo in WarioWare: Move It (according to, again, SmashWiki).
For some reason, I didn't think Palu was in the NES game. I stand corrected.
