Starship Titanic, but I think it got ported.
One of my favorite games from the late 90s created by Douglas Adams. I loved it so much that I wrote him an email and he actually wrote me back!
When I was young I managed to impersonate A. Parrot. I still can -- meaning I can technically impersonate Terry Jones provided I impersonate someone else he impersonated.
It was ported, as I do have it in my Steam library, but last time I played I had frequent crashes when talking to the bots. It didn't seem to crash in any progress-important conversations, but in the just-fucking-around conversations or the lore-conversations, which kinda killed a huge part of the game for me since randomly disturbing the bellbot to ask about inane things is too difficult a habit to drop.
I guess that means it technically qualifies since it can't play
properly
on modern systems. At least not my system.
I'll contribute and say
Star Wars: Droid Works
. It was Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts before Banjo was even nutting and bolting with Welder. It's Tears of the Kingdom machine building before Zelda was given a lightsaber. It was teaching physics when I was playing games to get away from school.
