This was a tough one for me. As I jumped all around their discography when getting into the band. I didn't start listening to them until Watershed. My Arms, Your Hearse is rated way too damn low.

9-11 are interchangeable really. They're that close. It's honestly where I struggled the most with this ranking. I also like every album with only Orchid being one that never grabbed me at all. So we're really just talking about degrees of like.

I personally didn't hate Heritage. Bands need to evolve. If they didn't change I'm not sure I'd still be listening to them. I mean it's still one of their weakest albums, however I think it has its moments. I think that they've improved thier new sound little by little with every release. You might even like this new album. If you do work backwards from there.

From the depths, the thing they called Worm King did rise.
Nirn itself did scream in the Mages' and Necromancers' war.
I'm not familiar enough with their very early stuff and their prog stuff to make a true ranking but my top are probably Ghost Reveries, Blackwater Park, My Arms Your Hearse in that order. New one rules too but that could be recency bias

i really only know orchid which i love. my arms your hearse is pretty good but only listened to it a few times. morningrise and blackwater park both sound familiar so might have listened to them like once.

so i won't vote but think this is the push i need to check out more of their stuff with orchid being pretty low overall.
