Does anyone know why so many anime outros seem to have melancholic, if not outright sad, music? Or am I just reading too much into it?

I heard once that the goal of an intro is to hype you up for the coming episode. But the outro is meant to make you contemplate what you just saw and so it tends to be more of a downer

Hajime no ippo ending 1 is my all time sad ending lol. Its just a montage of the boxers in the series working their side jobs because boxing money doesnt actually pay for their life
