But then there's the side effect of not being able to see what I'm pointing at...
I'm nearsighted, I'm effectively blind without my glasses so I never take them off unless I need to clearn the lens or something. I'm pretty sure that would only be something farsighted people would do.
It's probably less about the nearsighted vs. farsighted as it is about how bad it is. I'm nearsighted, but I can still do just fine without my glasses.
Do you frequently take your glasses off in a way this would be a natural gesture for you to make?
Don't think so

I tell you it's like +50 to intelligence. Absolute chad move.
I didn't think of that, I will say I don't think a near sighted individual is as likely to be used to taking their glasses off on a regular basis as a far sighted person tends to be when they only need glasses for reading.
That was the angle I was coming from, but I only have the perspective of myself who has very poor vision. Do you frequently take your glasses off in a way this would be a natural gesture for you to make?
I use my glasses to see things

You dont even need a screen. Just hold them with your fingers in the nose part and use one half of the glasses to do that finger pointing thing public speakers do.
