I've noticed that most transphobia I've seen in social media and in anti-trans bills is mostly aimed at trans women. These bigots are FAR more concerned about "men pretending to be women" than they are about trans me.

The big argument you often hear around bathroom bills, for example, is that people don't want "men in my daughter's bathroom/locker room."

My counter argument is this:

"So according to your bathroom bill, you 100% want this person in your daughter's bathroom?"

That usually gets no response (of course).

The anti-trans bills having to do with sports are NEVER EVER about trans men playing in men's sports, but ALWAYS about trans women playing women's sports.

Right now, several women's volleyball teams in the MWC (college) are forfeiting games against San Jose State out of protest that SJSU has a trans player on their team. I can't imagine the men's teams protesting if another school had a trans man on their teams.

tl;dr this country is transphobic AND sexist.

So paired with this, there's the weaponization of trans bros masculinity against them. I have a trans buddy who has been sucker punched in the face for existing on several occasions. The two attackers they caught said things to the equivalent of "Oh, you want to pretend to be a man. I'll treat you like a man." Which, punching a dude that's not interacting with you for simply existing is also a thing that shouldn't happen, but that's another argument.

Anyway, I think a lot of folks just want any excuse to treat trans people like shit. Theyll make up or latch onto any they can find
I don't believe in belts. There should be no ranking system for toughness.

It's all to protect their insane view of what women are: weak, and generally lesser. Essentially viewed as children. A trans man exists? They'll just write it off as "oh she's just going through a phase" or some bullshit. They'll less likely concern themselves with trans men because it doesn't challenge their view of what a woman "should be".
