The drama in the most recent 5 episodes did annoy me especially since its all recycled and the whole sideplot with Miguel and Johnny was really stupid but I can't resist more excuses to keep Cobra Kai going lol. Also RIP Kwon

They were layering it on kind of this in this batch, but like you said just gimme more, and the quality didn't dip far enough for it to make me stop watching

I kind of wish

They would have just gone with Kenny and skipped the whole shitbutt thing, Devin really didn't contribute much to my enjoyment of the show

dial back the Robbie and Tori shit, I don't need to see robbie flash over to her 7 times and fail a fight the same way every time

maybe better fights? Idk I enjoy seeing hawk, Kenny, and Miguel all do their thing and it was spread out along the whole team more this season which is fine I guess

The only people I like on this show are Johnny, Miguel, Kenny, Daniels wife, and Silver.

Everyone else are annoying and/or cringe

I Like Zara's inclusion into the cast. I guess her actress is a big deal irl in the martial arts

Yeah she became a 4th degree black belt when she was like 14 or something. Also shes pretty hot.

I like how a lot of the actors are martial artists, idk if all of them are or to what degree

But it adds a lot when you can do more with less jump cuts

I really don't like Devin at all. She was basically the Miyagi Do jobber.
Every day I wake up and promise I will be nice to everyone, then I deal with people at work and remember why that will never happen.
Devon really fell off, lol.
Yeah I was kinda hoping Devon would do more.

The last episode did a really good job being a surprise payoff to alot of the story beats. Even if its kinda a rehash of another seasons finale.

They're going back to the classic hits/rehashing what works and I'm for it lol

Honestly, I'm a bit disappointed with where it's at now. Just hoping the final episodes will get back to some form of not being this far over the top and putting in some closure for the main characters.

I must say though, that Cobra Kai sensei chick with her hair loose and in regular clothes is yummy...

I always thought she was but definitely moreso now, chozen steady being my favorite part of the show lmao

I assume so

I was kind of surprised they went with a whole like

45 minute FFA, it honestly seemed out of place but I guess with more to go in the season it will flow better when it's all out

I don't really like this 4 episode at a time thing

Throughout all this drama has Sam still lost a fight fairly yet? I'll be honest she's been seeming a bit mary sueish throughout the seasons even though she's been the provoker of a lot of drama.

Idek man, I don't think so?

Is her actress a martial artist? Not hating kind of hating she is not the most fun to watch

Man I said a lot of details I don't even remember anymore lol. But yeah, I remember she barely even gets hit by anyone outside of the designated Tory fights. Although I do think she finally gets "beaten" by Kim but come on. The fact that Sam actually manages to block Kim and get hits on her is already something.
But I guess she didn't get the win for the All Valleys even though a lot of it was invalidated due to Silver's rigging.

I would agree that she had Mary Stu qualities but she isn't shot like she does and her accomplishments are rarely mentioned. She isn't the strongest of the team, and everyone knows that. It's just a quirk

But really, no security during the entire 20 minute brawl taking place during a worldwide renowned event? But I guess it doesn't surprise me. They couldn't even provide enough steaks for all the senseis. Talk about sparing expenses. John Hammond would be proud.

This show goes further off the rails every season and im here for it. As an actual quality drama, season 1 hasnt even been close to surpassed. Its legitimately just a very well put together season that could stand on its own.

As a karate kid extended universe show which treats all the absurd shit that happened in the original 3 movies as canon, the later seasons are total fan service and i love it. Kreese, Barnes, Silver and Chozen all occupying the same screen? It literally sounds like a fanfiction buts real somehow

Does anything since like season 2 make much sense? No. Do i care? Also no.

I love the way the guy shouts to cut the feed after somebody gets killed, but all the carnage before that was fine. I genuinely laughed out loud at that line.

Did they bring Miyagi back as a zombie yet?

Young Miyagi morphs into old Miyagi in a dream sequence, so yes. They puppeted Pat Morita's corpse via special effects.

I finally watched the finale.

I don't care how bad they are milking the teenage drama and rehashing old rivalries for the umpteenth time. That final sequence made it all worth it. It's like someone else in the thread said, apparently the writers were trying to "one up" the high school brawl and they succeeded in an epic way.

Oh, and of course the Russians are the ones who started it all, LOL!

Yeah, they're really dragging this out.
Just caught up with season 6.

Im wondering what the final mens fight will be.

For the womens fight it seems like theyre going for Zara vs the winner of Tory vs Sam .

For the mens fight my guess is the rubber match between Miguel vs Robby , which Im down with considering all their history.

Since Johnny defended Kreese against Silver, Im thinking theyre on the same side again, at least in the enemy of my enemy is my friend sense. Also, Chozen and the Korean sensei are also on good terms again. So Cobra Kai is now on the good side. Since theyre male champ is dead, I think in the next episodes either Robby or Miguel joins Cobra Kai as the new male champ, setting up the finals.
So I'm the only one who thinks the tournament is over? A kid was killed live on TV. It will be all over the front page news in the show. An investigation will tie the knife that killed Kwan to Kreese and Cobra Kai will be dishonorably ejected from the Sekai Taikai forever. A three way tie will be announced between the Iron Dragons, Miyagi-Do, and Furia de Pantera.

The Iron Dragons get pissed because, let's be honest, they were probably going to win. At some point before going back home from Barcelona I predict a final, unofficial brawl between Miyagi Do and Iron Dragons with Axel maybe switching sides. Sensei Wolf and Terry Silver are still out to embarrass and humiliate Miyagi-Do in any way they can and they won't let it go.

Just got through it. I figured the tournament would be over. I was going to say that I don't see any angle where Axel loses, but Sam is now a factor... so maybe it continues???

The dagger is definitely in play, but remember that Miyagi-Do temporarily had their hands on the dagger too.

Chozen is the best.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. But damn... I wanted to see some clear winners.
It would be absolutely ridiculous to continue on with the tournament after that, so...they might, lol.

The tournament in name may not continue, but they'll probably hold some "unofficial" grudge one in the mountains of Barcelona or something, unless the whole situation shakes literally everyone

Not quite the same thing but at the "CrossFit Games" this year one of the athletes drowned during a triathlon and they just kept the games going.

I searched "do karate tournaments ever become brawls"

The answer was organization of tournaments prevents this but it may happen at lesser tournament.

This answer makes it sound like it happens but there is never a record for the general public.

Trying is the first step towards failure, so just dont give it a shot and you cant dissapoint.
so between last season and this one theres this movie on Netflix staring Peyton List/Tory and Everytime Id hover over it seemed badly dubbed.
So for awhile I thought it wasnt her and a foreign movie. Then to learn its not foreign or dubbed. Now just starting the new season Im seeing the exact same thing and I cant stop seeing it.

the way she talks and sounds is like a bad dubbing. Maybe its the way she moves her mouth also because something seems really off.

Im sure its just me, but I cant unsee it

It was kind of the only to have a bunch of the characters they set up in the season as rivals to actually fight in a semi believable scenario. Which is fine, it was a blast.
Furthermore, The GOP is a Fascist Organization and must be destroyed
Even though I'm tired of the ever increasing drama in this show, the fights just keep me glued to the screen. I believe this season has even more fights than the previous seasons.

My Wife hates Cobra Kai but she saw "Girl Haunts Boy" staring Peyton List. It's totally a romantic, supernatural chick flick and she loved it. I watched a little bit of it and it was ok... I'm glad she's getting plenty of work.
I didnt see the last couple episodes of whats available now.
but my guess is it will end
with Jackie Chan showing up. They mentioned briefly when they found that box that Miagi had a brother they knew nothing about.
which will then lead to this in may.
which Im guessing here Seank will show up as well in the movie.

That's interesting because Peyton has a Paramount+ show that is also about her being a ghost. School Spirits. It's not bad. A second season is coming at some point.

I couldn't get passed the Johnny and Robbie searching for Miguel arc. The show just repeats the same cycles time and time again and those first few eps were rough. Even when it was losing some steam in season 4, I still enjoyed it, but it's always taking 2 steps back to retread the same ground.

I'd like to finish the series eventually, but I don't like forcing myself to an ending.
