We have known this for awhile. Trump lost 2020 and it isn't like he gained support. He pushed away people outside the die hard MAGA's and has increased voter turnout for the democrats. It has been pretty obvious he is going to lose by an even bigger margin than he did to Biden.

It's just some people are rightfully so fearful of him winning they are too paranoid to recognize what is right in front of them.

Dems were stupidly overconfident then. Lot of people stayed home, sure Hillary had it

No one is doing that this time. Also her local/district polls had started showing danger signs in blue wall states. Here it's the opposite. Harris is neck and neck with Trump in the overall nation polls, but leads him in most local/district level polls of swing states

I have mostly avoided discussing the election because I still dont get it. My big take away is that Im just out of touch with the general voting public. I dont understand how any American could have voted for himbut they did

As a non-American who don't really visit other international forums, I too was swept along by the wave of support for Kamala on CE.

I really thought she had it in the bag.

Some of the most horrible things in history has been from tyrants who have turned the common men of his country into a mob that only seeks hate.

Pol Pot destroyed Cambodia because the common man's hate for the city elite unleashed the Killing Fields and broke the nation so bad they never really recovered....Stalin did stuff like that in Russia...and there have been others to.

I'm afraid Trump's on the verge of doing that...because it could very well destroy the country and yet many will just laugh madly as it burns because" They got back at those who looked down on them." and will gladly live in hell as long as there is a group they can always be free to brutalize.

History has shown that the masses eagerly will burn everything and treat a leader like god if he lets them embrace there hate.

Twitter was likely better for this as it's more diverse (i follow right and left leaning accounts there). Only issue is you don't get the idea that secret Trump supports still exist. It's also not a complete echo chamber. I see liberals and the left battle, also MAGA and DeSantoids get into it
