Two almost lifesize sculptures of a man and woman, who was believed to have been a priestess, have been found during the excavations of a huge tomb in the ancient Roman city of Pompeii.

Okay, backstory time. The people are wearing glasses to avoid direct eye contact with gorillas at the zoo. This is because a lady regularly visited a zoo in Rotterdam to see a gorilla named Bokito. Thinking she was bonding with Bokito, she would touch the glass of the enclosure while smiling and making eye contact with him.

Employees warned her against doing that, but she kept on doing it. And then Bokito broke out and attacked her, leaving her with bone fractures and over 100 bite wounds.

The slang bokitoproof came into being from that incident, which means durable enough to resist the actions of an enraged gorilla lol

A temple in Peru is 3,500 years older than Machu Picchu. It is now being excavated. The builders are unknown at present but more excavation and more study will hopefully provide details.

I don't think gorillas should be able to break out of their enclosure regardless of how much you think you've bonded with them.

Oh man, this is a weird one. Former MLB all-star Jason Giambi had an unusual superstitious practice. If he was in a slump and the team was losing, he would put on a golden thong. And other teammates have worn it too D:

Derek Jeter wore it when he was 0 for 32, and he hit a home run on the first pitch lol. But he did note that he wore it over his shorts.

When Giambi left the Yankees in 2008, he gave them a spare pair which they apparently use lol

In most FPS games, you essentially shoot invisible bullets from your eyes when firing, since it's really hard to make the bullets hit where your crosshair is aiming if they come from the barrel of the gun lol

Myostatin is a protein that inhibits muscle growth. Those cats are lacking it (not sure if completely or if they just have less than normal), so their muscles grow unusually large :o
