In the Philippines there was a mall that used to have a "security cat" named SG (security guard) Mingming. He was there to help employees destress, and just look cute in general. Sadly he passed away last year.

However, several months later, another mall found a kitten crying in the parking lot and took him in. His name is Conan and he now serves to carry out Mingming's legacy :3

This song has been stuck in my head for over a year. I am not exaggerating.
Because of it's extreme length, the ground pangolin's tongue is actually rooted down near it's pelvis instead of in it's mouth.

I mean, if you go with some interpretations, they never died. Because birds.

I'll go with this one.

Cerberus is derived from kerberos, the Ancient Greek word for "spotted". Which means that Hades, Greek God of the Underworld, named his giant three-headed guard dog the equivalent of "Spot".

People like to group The Goonies and The Monster Squad together as similar movies. Something else they share has to do with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, specifically Donatello. In the first live action trilogy Donatello had two different voice actors including Corey Feldman in the 1st and 3rd movies. The 2nd movie he was voiced by Adam Carl, who was in The Monster Squad (he was Jason Hervey's bully friend).
Every day I wake up and promise I will be nice to everyone, then I deal with people at work and remember why that will never happen.
Not a random interesting fact, but I just have to share this while were on the subject of TMNT lol

Fun fact, since there is a dinosaur topic too:

The thagomizer was originally named by a Far Side comic, before becoming the actual official name for those spiky tail things some dinosaurs have.

Melting glaciers make fizzy noises. The noises can sound like radio static, white noise, frying food, or gunshots. They can be as loud as 120 decibels, which is louder than a car horn or kitchen blender. The noises are caused by the bubbles disengaging from the melting glacier and springing back into their original spherical shapes. The noises can be louder than rain-pounded seas and persist year-round. They can also make fjords the noisiest places in the ocean.

Pikachu was supposed to have another evolution after Raichu named Gorochu. It had fangs and horns. Speculative artwork :3

And wow, I guess I haven't seen Aladdin for decades. The peddler at the beginning of the movie who tells the story is the Genie, and there was supposed to be a scene at the end that shows it. Looking back I should've realized it long ago lol. But in my defense I was probably like 5 when I saw that :<

Flipping a shark will render it temporarily immobile. Certain types of sharks enter a trance-like state called tonic immobility due to the shock when flipped over. Some killer whales have been recorded to exploit this weakness and purposely flip them over.

There is a mind game known as "The Game" where the object is to avoid thinking about the game itself, and if you do think about it, you lose. Various rules may stipulate a requirement to announce the loss and/or a grace period before you can lose again. On that note, you just lost The Game.

While promoting the film "Spider-Man 3" (2007) on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," Thomas Haden Church revealed that he broke three knuckles during the subway scene where he swings to punch Spider-Man and ends up punching a chunk of the wall away. Church said that the effects crew had told him that the brick in the middle was fake while the upper and lower ones were real. Unfortunately, the foam brick had not actually been put in place yet, and when director Sam Raimi yelled "Action," Church spun around and punched the real brick on the first take.

There was a movie released in 2012 called Rise of the Black Bat, starring a bat-themed superhero dressed in black who was blinded and had his other senses heightened to superhuman levels.

Surprisingly, it wasnt a fusion of Batman and Daredevil. The Black Bat was an old comic that came out in 1933 and preceded both Batman (1939) and Daredevil (1964).
