No. It is an amazing tech demo with all the things the player could do, but the campaign was poor. The forklift races were dreadful and the controls needing polishing.

Controls take a bit of acclimation, but yeah, it's a fun game. Shenmue 2 is arguably even better, though.

Ground breaking for it's time but it's certainly dated these days.

I loved it when it came out, but have always been apprehensive about going back to it. By the time I played Shenmue 2 on Xbox, the sequel already felt dated then.

It's barely a game. It's a chore simulator. But people like Power Wash simulator for some reason so I dunno. Maybe it was a head of it's time, and not the pretentious un-fun garbage I think it is.

They really don't have anything in common except Japanese people. The gameplay and writing are nothing really alike

Dock worker simulator

I always thought it was amusing how you get just 500 yen a day to play the minigames, but once you start making real money working at the dock, the game is on rails towards the end and you don't have time to play games and buy toys anymore.
