Am I the only one who still doesnt understand what his angle is with this?

Normally when a Republican says something vile or stupid I understand what they mean even if its abhorrent, but I literally dont get what his obsession with people having children is.

I know that there are likely a lot of people who feel the same way as he does, but it's super weird how often this guy says the quiet part out loud.

it's like, he's so divorced from reality, he doesn't realize how weird he might come off.

that's the kind of person I wouldn't want to deal with.

I think it's deeply rooted insecurity. He wants everyone to know that he's a big man with working testies and he's definitely attracted to women exclusively.

I've said it before, but Vance is approaching this election like someone who has already completed it properly and is now speedrunning a "bad dialogue options" playthrough to pick up the remaining trophies.

It's so weird this is the hill he really wants to die on. Usually if someone says something dumb and everyone completely turns it into a joke, they at the very least drop it. But this is his sole platform and he is extremely passionate about it. Are republicans even supporting this breeder stuff? Seems like they're mostly silent on this.

It's racial anxiety; he's worried that white people are being outbred by minority groups having more children, and that the society he wants is impossible without continuing immigration.

why is this all this dude ever talks about

how do they keep coming up with more clips of him saying this shit?

what a weird obsession

Same reason they want to ban abortion and contraception. They need lower class people to have more children so they stay poor.

I'm assuming it's this. We're approaching a day when the U.S. is no longer majority white (latest projections are by 2045 white people will make up less than 50% of the population) and that terrifies the right.

They're flustered over Harris, and this is an incredibly hamfisted attack on her for not having given birth to children.

My guess is eventually most Latinos will be considered white. Remember Italians, Irish, and some other Europeans used to not be considered white.

Yeah. He's upset that people aren't having biological kids until a white woman wants to have a kid with a black man then it's a personal choice to not have any kids.

Like exactly what block of voters does he think are going to switch from Kamala to Trump on this topic.

Like are there millions and millions of biological parents who just hate the fact that there are people without biological children. Like they see a kid with their step parent at the supermarket and think "man I really wish someone would take them down a peg."

Because conservatives are railing against anything not-white right now, they need another way to improve birth rates among a population who's standard of living is also being eroded. Given kids are expensive AF and a huge investment, its one of the things most people are either putting on the backburner, having fewer kids than previous generations, or not engaging with the idea at all.

And because conservatives are causing all of these problems that is making the average American not want a kid/as many kids, they instead need to really push the whole "women need to only exist to push more white babies out to work in the mines and factories" thing. And because they can't offer anything to actually make wanting to have more children more desirable, they're trying to get rid of the ability to do anything else.

Without either immigration or high birth rates, the country faces a huge potential economic collapse due to simply not having enough workers. And given this is an issue basically every developed country in the world is dealing with, the immigration isn't likely to be predominantly white like the racists want.

There are no voters or anything to get with this, but the people who are already willing to vote Trump/Vance won't budge for anything either of them say, and they're kind of banking on rigging the system to win places they can't get the votes for. They aren't campaigning really, they're bragging about the shit they want to pull when they win, because they think they already have.
The biggest MAGA heads in my fam are childless uncles and aunts if Vance can talk just one of them into not voting for Trump itd be amazing.

lmao the chuds working overtime trying to deflect it as "he was only talking about Randi Weingarten!" even though he clearly said "people without kids trying to brainwash the minds of our children"

The greatest irony is that all conservatives want to do is brainwash kids by banning books and lesson materials not approved of by the State/Local government so they can only learn about Conservative ideology

And maybe an even greater irony is they go on about how other people are trying to brainwash kids while leaning on other parents to ban books and brainwash other people's kids

I think a lot of people actually do, although probably not for the same reason or to the same extent.

Consider some people you know. And I mean actual real people not just all the crazies on an internet forum like this. Say, family members, or coworkers 10-20 years older than you, or so on. And think about what their reaction would probably be if you told them you do not ever want to have kids.

It probably wouldn't be a "oh you're weird" said directly to your face but I think most people would find this a little strange and would try to quiz you on why, talk you out of that stance, or say something that implies you're not in your right mind and will come around eventually

He, like Jesse Watters (though Watters is probably being cynical when he says it) believes that liberal-voting suburban white women have been duped by Democrats...that if they just listen to all the sense conservatives like Vance preach, they'll swap sides and vote Republican.

They fail to realize women strong enough to think for themselves aren't going to vote for Trump just because a white man tells them to.

They insist the Ten Commandments be displayed in classrooms, the Bible be taught as part of school curriculum, and that unlicensed chaplains replace licensed counselors in public schools all while banning books, then they accuse the other side of indoctrinating children.

Apparently not because he only has 3 kids, meaning Usha's likely on some birth control that prevents them from having more. Or he is and he's just a hypocrite, which he's a hypocrite regardless because he keeps talking about how other people must have more kids while he stays at 3.
