Western Ohio:

  • Kamala Harris - Not a ton of ads, but some that focus on governing for all people and on the middle class
  • Donald Trump - Equating Harris to Biden, some transphobic shit
  • Sherrod Brown - A mix of bipartisanship, fighting for the working class, and attacking Bernie Moreno for stealing overtime money from his employees and his hardline stance on abortion
  • Bernie Moreno - Almost entirely attack ads against Brown, mostly around immigration and trans-rights. "Sherrod Brown is too liberal for Ohio".


Immigration and trans issues are just about the only two things the Republicans talk about in these ads, and the transphobic shit is sickening.

Main thing I've been seeing here in Houston/Hockley are ads about abortion calling out Ted Cruz for being a piece of shit

Rick Scott's "I'll always protect IVF" ad that aired days after he voted against it in June, then again last week will always make me hate every fiber of his being.

I honestly don't really see much. Just a a few random Harris ones here and there. I don't even pay attention to them. Most of the stuff I watch on tv is shows I recorded on my DVR while I'm at work so I just fast forward through all commercials, or I'm watching a movie on HBO or Starz and there are no commercials at all.

Outside of that I watch sports/ESPN and maybe catch an ad here or there but I'm not really paying attention during a commercial. I have caught more random 10 second ads on youtube here at work than anywhere.

I wonder how much they put into advertising on cable tv these days compared to streaming because so many people left cable? Like this year I haven't gotten a single political survey call because I think they flat out just gave up on landlines. 2016 I still got quite a few in election years because do not call lists don't impact the fucking political calls.

But now thankfully I don't get them. I don't get any telemarketers any more these days. The guys at work get pestered on their cell phones all the time.

I get a constant flood of ads against a Democrat state senator running for my House district. It's the dumbest shit, too. "He voted to give himself a pay raise!" Yeah, him and all the other fucking senators, including all of the Republicans .

Edit: Also if I see that fucking "We will make America x again" Trump ad, I may blow a gasket and go TP a house with Trump signs or something.

various commercials for both Trump (including the disgusting transphobia commercial) and Harris

a lot of Josh Stein ads, I haven't seen a Mark Robinson one since the big CNN reveal (indeed I saw a Harris ad attacking Trump and Robinson the night it broke out. They wasted zero time there.)

a few for Jeff Jackson and one for Dan Bishop rambling about "woke" crime

Nonstop Trump bullshit screaming about immigrants and Harris laughing, or something. I'm just fucking thrilled Trump is spending all his money here.

There's some Kamala Harris ones too, but the Trump ones are so fucking annoying. I do like the Bob Casey ones making fun of Dave McCormack for being an out of touch hedge fund manager, but Dave's are also absolutely awful.

I hardly see any. mostly just Trump bumper stickers plastered all over trucks that have never actually done any truck stuff

there are the Trump morons that spend 4-5 hours every saturday standing on a highway overpass, but I just give them the finger ever time.

Here they still occasionally run a Biden/Harris ad that's completely in Spanish.

Ted Cruz is running the same ads in Texas. He and his PACs run at least 3 different ads dedicated to anti-trans stuff, and I want to force-choke the narrator every time they come on.
