Current Events » Early Voting and Registration Information Guide for 2024 Election
This topic is solely dedicated for those who are going to register and vote early in the 2024 general election. Information here is gathered from Democracy Works and other sources. While it would be nice to have this topic pinned by the mods like in 2020, I'll try to bump it up religiously every now and then if that option isn't possible in CE.

Harris/Walz 2024!
Here is something about PA I can share to outsiders - since I work for the commonwealth government.

PA is one of the last states around that still has state run liquor stores. I work in one. I've been working here 6 years, and have never seen this and people working here longer have also never seen it.

Our sales receipts and paper bags have a QR code on them to register to vote. This doesn't break any law or policy about us being apolitical as it's just a QR code with the PA gov't link to register to vote and check your status, etc.

I don't know if this was Shapiro's call or somebody else, but whoever it is up top realizes the truth: if more people are registered to vote, the greater chance this state stays Democrat(every year since 1992 sans 2016 in presidential elections).

Luckily I haven't had any customers ask about it, but I have instructed my staff to not say anything other than "the governor just wants people to be aware they need to be registered to vote". This does not violate any of our laws or policies about being apolitical. BUT this is NOT an apolitical stunt. More regs = more Dem turnout. Whoever made this call for all 500+ state stores to actually advertise your right to vote: good.

Here is something about PA I can share to outsiders - since I work for the commonwealth government.

PA is one of the last states around that still has state run liquor stores. I work in one. I've been working here 6 years, and have never seen this and people working here longer have also never seen it.

That's very neat! However, it's only a matter of time before Republicans find out about this and attempt to ban the practice entirely.

I was going to ask why I couldn't request it as a sticky but maybe it's because it was already on the way.
You can't request sticky on social boards. It's always been that way.
It says right here in Matthew 16:4 "Jesus doth not need a giant Mecha."

Sticky requests are no longer found by clicking the post number now, for some reason. You have to manually request it via a feedback form.

Hope it helps.

I know before that I'd get overwhelmed in local elections because how can I possibly follow this many people? How do I know what a judge stands for or a school administrator.

Due to that, it makes voting substantially easier. Wish I had it years ago as I was likely voting for a lot of Republicans in disguise. Now that's going to be near impossible.

I printed my ballot this morning. I'd have to do a lot of research to vote for anyone other than president since I don't know who they are. Might just leave those blank.

Isn't CE like the only board on GameFAQs that allows political discussion?
