Yeah, Facebook's algorithm certainly is, uh, something.

I had a "suggested post" of an image implicitly advocating for violence against trans women. (The gist was "If you belong in [the men's] restroom and you go into [the women's] restroom, you're gonna need [the handicapped] restroom.") I reported it and immediately got a response saying it "doesn't violate community guidelines". The kicker? I had the same exact "suggested post" the next day from a different group, reported it again, and got another immediate response saying it was just fine.

I'm openly trans on my Facebook account, so I have no idea why the algorithm would think I'd want to see that at all, much less repeatedly. (Okay, that's not true, the fact it's apparently not a violation heavily implies the exact reason it was targeted at me.)

Oh, yeah, Facebook rejects every single one of my reports on anti-LGBTQ+ posts. Quite a standard they have there

The fact that it's an automated "Nope it's totes fine! " means it's absolutely targeted.

Yeah, Facebook auto-mods are a joke. I've reported some really bad stuff (along the same lines), and they said it was perfectly okay.

And people complain about the mods on this site lol.
1,000 maps on 04/12/2010! -- 2,000 maps on 04/15/2016! -- 3,000 maps on 11/19/2019! -- 4,000 maps on 02/10/2023!
And the reason you're getting insta-replied to when you report them is that after the first complaint is rejected, it just automates rejections for each consecutive report

The Al Gore Rhythm is all knowing! But not really. I honestly don't even bother reporting anything anymore, I just go straight for the block.

I clicked on and subscribed to HelloFresh to make our meal planning less of a hassle.

Unfortunately, it was one of those typical cute girl in fitwear using horny to sell a product she likely doesnt use. So now Im just bombarded with more of the same for services and products that dont apply to me.

Ill get curious every so often and read the reviews. Theyre almost always bad.

mine is just a 24/7 firehose of kitten videos and that's entirely fine by me compared to the stuff the twitter algorithm thinks I care about
