I started with chinese, then moved on to japanese, then started Playing the alt. Chinese. now trying out french.

Tips for french?

I've only played a few hours, mechanically the game seemed really dated and it failed to really capture my interest despite age of empires 1 & 2 being some of my all time favourite games.

I am not sure I've played as the French but probably just the rush and spam cavalry.
