Ratchet and Clank are the only choice they have right now as an approachable mascot character.

Most of us old fart playstation fans been begging for shit like a new alundra game or a new dark cloud for years, lmfao. Sony indeed owns the IP for freaking wild arms. Legend of dragoon.....jrpgs had a rough patch on the xbox 360 and PS3 for awhile but they still hanging on.....why have we not got a new legend of dragoon in all this time?

Dumb-dumbs could have been building up and fostering those PS1, PS2, and PS3 era IPs they own from the very beginning like nintendo and sega to an extent did. We actually did get a new medievil game on the PS4 but bet money mad people don't even know its a thing that exists......that release was mad silent.

Trying to tell you, alundra has serious potential to be a fun series (lets just erase alundra 2 from memory real quick....there we go)....make it like a castlevania belmont type line of successors that specialize in entering dreams and fighting nightmares in different eras of time in a fictional world. It'd be playing the hell out of that.

Some people in this thread seem to think that they said they have no mascots when the tweet clearly says "Original IPs". Which is so unbelievably wrong, the real issue is that they make little to no effort to build up their IPs, being all too willing to discard them with each subsequent console generation.

Legend of Dragoon 2 is just waiting to print money. Pick up with Dart and Shana's kid and do whatever you need to do to make the plot make sense. Or set it on a different planet or timeline with references to the original. More Gust of Wind Dance would save Sony.

I at least know that all the names I posted sony owns them. They also own most of the rights to dark cloud....level 5 theirselves was interested in making a part 3 a long time ago, but they couldn't do anything with it unless sony gave the go-ahead.

This is literally World of Light and the Spirits in Smash Ultimate. Say what you will about its execution, but just look at how many Spirits there are even if you cut out the third party games, and I think the total number that are peripherals are in the single digits out of 1k+.
