they said the shooter seemed to target a special needs classroom,
damn. the special education math teacher died :(.
hopefully they give the motive why he did it. beyond fucked up especially to all the victims.

You are joking but they are literally selling kevlar inserts for backpacks.
Sad thing is, we are never given a motive to these shootings. Very rarely if we do.

I so sick and damn tired of seeing these shooting happening. Doing nothing hasnt solved the problem. they need to pass gun laws to restrict them, its time to do the drastic cause this isnt acceptable. No, just the ones on the right. The ones on the left want to do something, but "MUH RIGHTS" trump childrens' lives....
but who am I kidding, if Trump getting shot at didnt cause a rally for gun restrictions, If all these dead kids dont, then our politicians are just heartless and brainless.
The shooter is black? Cue in the excuses of rap music or the neighborhood in response.no, the kid in the tweet is one of the victims killed by the shooter @Cynrascal
Why do so many people on twitter censor bypass? I cant even type what they say on GameFAQs.I think it's an "algorithm" thing.
We now have an entire generation of kids who grew up entirely in this environment. They've never experienced that we used to go to school without passing through an X-Ray machine or taking lessons in case a shooting starts. On the reverse side they never had to do nuclear bomb drills.
An entire generation traumatized because Republicans don't get a shit. Just monstrous.
Let's say guns are completely outlawed, they unfortunately will never go away with the advent of 3D printers.Oh ok so since we can't reduce the problem to zero there's no point in reducing it at all. Gotcha.
Let's say guns are completely outlawed, they unfortunately will never go away with the advent of 3D printers. Can you print ammunition too?
There are many politicians in our country that really just do not care if kids get killed."
.
Half of the voters in this country are 100% fine with the possibility of their loved ones being gruesomely murdered if it means they can keep their precious pew pew sticks.
It's not the politicians. It's your fellow Americans who do not care. The politicians just do what they're askedThat's weird, because Americans ARE asking the politicians to do something.
If the Sandy Hook shooting didnt finally make republicans wake the fuck up and think gee maybe a little gun control will help then literally nothing will.
So, he somehow got a hold of someone's guns that was left unattended? Brilliant.
There was actually a school shooting in Arkansas the year before Colombine and the shooters were 11 and 13. One of their grandfathers was a gun owner and they got them by breaking into his house.
Let's say guns are completely outlawed, they unfortunately will never go away with the advent of 3D printers.
And of course, the shooter took legal guns from his dad.

For the record shooter appears not to be blackhttps://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/forum/8/88178886.jpg
Nope. I posted in in post #98 media fucked up

I had quoted another tweet to ask about censor bypassing.
If someone isn't at least sued for this we have no future as a nation.
Yea. So much moddable stuff got said when shooter was black. There was also some doubt. Some were saying the shooter being brought in alive kinda goes against the shooter being black. Which while racist ended up being what happened once real pic got released.

A majority of Americans (61%) say it is too easy to legally obtain a gun in this country, according to the June 2023 survey. Far fewer (9%) say it is too hard, while another 30% say its about right.
About six-in-ten U.S. adults (58%) favor stricter gun laws. Another 26% say that U.S. gun laws are about right, while 15% favor less strict gun laws.
There is broad partisan agreement on some gun policy proposals, but most are politically divisive. Majorities of U.S. adults in both partisan coalitions somewhat or strongly favor two policies that would restrict gun access: preventing those with mental illnesses from purchasing guns (88% of Republicans and 89% of Democrats support this) and increasing the minimum age for buying guns to 21 years old (69% of Republicans, 90% of Democrats). Majorities in both parties also oppose allowing people to carry concealed firearms without a permit (60% of Republicans and 91% of Democrats oppose this).
The public remains closely divided over whether its more important to protect gun rights or control gun ownership, according to an April 2024 survey. Overall, 51% of U.S. adults say its more important to protect the right of Americans to own guns, while a similar share (48%) say controlling gun ownership is more important.
More than half of U.S. adults say an increase in the number of guns in the country is bad for society, according to the April 2024 survey. Some 54% say, generally, this is very or somewhat bad for society. Another 21% say it is very or somewhat good for society, and a quarter say it is neither good nor bad for society.
Carlin had it right:

He was right at that time. But considering that Republican politicians have engaged in a coordinated propaganda campaign (Fox/Rush) etc. to brainwash the public with continuous lies and propaganda, I am not willing to let them off the hook for intentionally breaking the government. They attack neutral arbiters of fact and flood the zone with lies to cling to power, and if there were justice in this world these sleaze politicians would be held accountable for it at the voting booth.
The electorate has its own share of the blame. But the GOP has been intentionally brainwashing voters for decades. Saying people elect them is too simple in 2024, when one side is a bad faith actor actively trying to create a world of alternative facts for the public.
Part of me wants to have a little sympathy for them for being brainwashed, but I'm an idiot, a southerner, grew up around conservative people, etc, but I didn't become a hateful bigoted fascist. I wonder what makes me different than so many others down here.

Would you believe there's more of us than you'd think?
I wonder too. Im guessing that other group doesnt post here to give an answer why they are like that. Maybe they got kicked off CE when it became private. I barely see any topics made by Republicans anymore.
What makes us different?
I wasn't implying I was the only one if I'm reading your post right (and I'm probably not). Still, so many of us escaped that downward spiral of conservatism. What makes us different?
Surprised this thread hasn't been updated story kinda escalated. Dad gave gun as a Christmas present and then this news happened

Wouldn't there be a small bit of common sense in these people
Wouldn't there be a small bit of common sense in these people that says "Maybe giving my 14 yo kid a deadly weapon is a bad idea?"Common sense what's that
I mean, I could see getting a hunting rifle or something, but an AR, why? To what end?
