Tom and Jerry, or Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote?

Anybody remember when Wile E. could talk and was a foil to Bugs Bunny?

I didn't like Tom and Jerry since Jerry won almost all the time. When he was the criminal.

I kinda liked those eps better, tbh. When he squared off against Road Runner, being mute just made him seem like a boob with a bottomless bank account for ACME products that he clearly wasn't smart enough to use properly. When he talked he had that hoity toity arrogance that made for more satisfying comeuppance when his schemes backfired.

And then of course you have the classic 'Mornin' Ralph, Mornin' Sam' eps with the sheepdog that arguably give Wile E. a third distinct personality.

Im not sure why you would attribute Ralph Wolf as a distinct personality of Wile E. when hes entirely his own character. Similar character design of course with differences like the color of the nose and eyes yes but absolutely separate characters.
