Google Chrome is trash and should really stop being used.
Google Chrome is trash
I never really understood why everyone switched over to using Chrome and developing for it. Well, I guess we found out why that was a horrible decision.
Just glad we still have Firefox. I've been using it forever.
Because Chrome was much faster at the time it came out than IE or firefox, and in a world where webpages simply not really loading well or fast was still an issue, it mattered and people switched. After making the switch, people never looked back. Chrome was super good for most of its life, so it was irrelevant.Chrome was never good and only loaded so much faster at first because it hogged all the RAM. It was only the "most widely used" browser because it became the default browser for Android.
Also, it comes on Pixel phones and people have their laptops, desktops, and phones synced to use the same passwords, card info, etc.
Its a relatively new thing that google is absolutely running wild ruining it in every way.

It wasn't until 2011 when Chrome surpassed IE and Firefox in usage. Right about the time smartphones became mainstream.
This is revisionist history. Chrome was more widely used on desktop and has been for a very long time. It was more widely used before most people even had a smart phone.

Chrome has better UI was why I switched years ago. That and Firefox at the time (no idea now) was using too much memory.Yeah it still uses a lot but hey adblck makes it worth it.
There is a good possibility that if it somehow isn't disabled, they'll just outright ban peoples accounts for using Adblocker. That's the next logical step for this adblock war.
Request to Block Hero Wars Ads on YouTube
Misleading Content : The Hero Wars ads present a gameplay experience that is far removed from reality. They promise epic battles, grand quests, and heroic feats, but the actual game falls short of these claims.
Inadequate Moderation : YouTube, as a responsible platform, should prioritize ad moderation. Unfortunately, Hero Wars ads slip through the cracks, bombarding us with false promises and exaggerated visuals.
Inappropriate for All Audiences : These ads are not only misleading but also inappropriate for viewers of all ages. Their sexually suggestive content is unacceptable, especially considering that many young users frequent YouTube.
Lack of Permanent Blocking Option : Users have no way to permanently block these ads. We need a solution that ensures a cleaner, more enjoyable viewing experience.
Our Request :
Immediate Action : We urge YouTube to take immediate action by intensifying ad moderation. Hero Wars ads should align with the actual game content.
Transparent Communication : Nexter, the company behind Hero Wars, must be transparent about their advertising practices. Misleading ads harm both users and the brands reputation.
Age-Appropriate Content : Hero Wars ads should be suitable for all audiences. Anything sexually explicit or misleading should be promptly removed.
Permanent Blocking Option : Implement a feature that allows users to permanently block specific ads. This would empower us to curate our viewing experience effectively.
I feel like they threaten this every other week

There's a good possibility that if you claim something might happen, it's guaranteed not to happen.
Why is it that the one doing these horrible and misleading ads doesn't get punished at all, why are we forced to see them.Because those companies give Google lots of money to run their ads and keep the platform afloat, while Youtubers and viewers are money-sinks for Google.

I'm not defending or excusing it, but that's just how they see it.

Google Chrome is now encouraging uBlock Origin users who have updated to the latest version to switch to other ad blockers before Manifest v2 extensions are disabled.
