am I screwed lol
yes.
there is another way.... depends how much you spent on that TV could lie and say that you received it that way.
It's not like you did it on purpose. Return policies are supposed to cover accidental incidents. You're good to do it as long as it hasn't been over 30 days.I mean they arent supposed to cover accidents at all. Otherwise a lot of return fraud would happen far more then it does now.
Even if true, that doesn't change the point I made that they can return an item within the time frame.
You are allowed to return an item for any reason within that time frame, so long as you have the receipt and all items in the box. There is no wrong doing in doing that. At all. Only when it's past the given days is it 'wrong'.
Hence why I said "hasn't been over 30 days" and then the following "Only when it's past the given days is it 'wrong'."Again thats only a part of the return policy in general it doesnt negate the fact that accidents that the customer causes arent returnable.
Glad we are in agreement.
0% chance they wont let you exchange it. Just bring a receipt and say it got damaged while you were setting it up. Just be nice and itll be fine.
Ignore all that^^^^
It's fine TC. As long as you have the receipt, do it within the allowed timeframe, and have all the items in the box, you're good to go.

Cant say for Walmart but this was my experience with Best Buy
Bought a tv a few years ago and brought it home only to found out there was a huge ass crack in the screen that's only noticeable when you have the TV on. Brought it back within an hour (luckily I live close by) and the employee there said they generally dont take it back but because I brought it back almost immediately, they took my word that it was damaged beforehand and let me exchange it out for another one. Said if I had brought it back the next day or after, I would have had a much harder chance of them exchanging it.
Hope it works out for you TC
That's what I'm afraid of that they might not take it back because I didn't go back right awayYou could just pile onto the lie of it being broken in box as claiming it was a gift for someone.
just tell them it was already broken and you couldnt get back there until then. nobody that works for wal mart is going to turn into phoenix wright to try to suss out the lies or whatever lol, they just want the path of least resistance to you getting lostI'm willing to bet you used to work for them or someone like them at some point lol.

All I read was "it came out of the box like this"This.
