Never thought I'd see the Secret Service giving excuses worthy of the Uvalde PD, but here we are.

Not enough hand sanitizer or donuts up there I guess
I post clips of my cool, stupid and glitchy MH Sunbreak and Tears of the Kingdom gameplay here just for fun.

Secret service is basically just putting it on full display that if you want to assassinate a president just bring a few friends with AR-15s.
It says right here in Matthew 16:4 "Jesus doth not need a giant Mecha."

*didn't read article, correct me if I'm wrong lol*

I'm going to guess the roof wasn't exactly a stable place to realistically station yourself so they didn't have anyone stationed on it. Not that it was 'too dangerous' for them to have used it if they absolutely needed to.

From the photos, it's virtually identical to the roof where the counter-sniper team that took him out was positioned.

They didn't want to put people on that roof because it was sloped? What about the sloped roof that their sniper team was posted on? It looks to be about the same angle as the roof that the shooter used.

It's not a war crime the first time.

Couldn't they have had someone keeping an eye on the roof with a drone or something?
"It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose. That is not a weakness. That is life."
I'm guessing they meant like it would've left their agents open to get shot at from other roofs outside of the zone, but that still doesn't excuse how the sniper was able to climb up and lay on the roof for quite some time. They should've had eyes on it.
They could have still locked down the building so nobody got up there

Yeah.

I don't blame the snipers on the roof because they were actively engaged and doing their job; scanning the crowd.

Still, someone should have had eyes on constantly
The name is wackyteen for a reason. Never doubt.

They did.

"According to a Secret Service official, local police were stationed inside the Agr International building and radioed to alert agents to a man acting furtively, the Washington Post reported.

Ms Cheatle, who is facing calls to resign, admitted that Crooks had been spotted by the agency before he opened fire, but had not been stopped.

The rooftop was outside of the secure zone set up for Trumps rally, around 150 metres from the stage where he spoke.

The shooter was actually identified as a potential person of suspicion, she said.

Unfortunately, with the rapid succession of how things unfolded, by the time that individual was eventually located, they were on the rooftop and were able to fire off at the former president.

It came amid reports that a Secret Service sniper photographed the man who fired several shots at Donald Trump and watched him using a range-finder before the shooting."

*Of the headquarters of the people responsible for finding him.

Let's not leave that part out.

"Bad knees" I guess.
With how advanced our technology is, I dont get why they wouldnt have temporary cameras set up on every possible vantage point, drones in the air, like even if its a worthless sad sack of a former president, you think their surveillance would be top-notch at this point.
