The GOP attack ads write themselves if Biden steps down

"If he's not fit to run next year, then he isn't fit to be in office right now! Why doesn't he leave office immediately?"

"Trump: I'm such a good debater, after one debate the other guy just up and quit!"

"Democrats can't even decide on who their own party's candidate is - and you think they can govern? They're a disorganized mess."

"The whole party was hiding the truth from Americans this whole time! They admit it now but they've been lying to you up until now!"

And so on and so forth.

Don't marry yourself to the idea that dropping Biden is leading to a better situation - because it really doesn't.

Yep only thing worse than the media endlessly saying Biden must drop out is the media gloating that Democrats are in disarray because Biden dropped out.

He can't step down at this point. Democrats should have planned this long ago. Now the best bet is to wallow in the shit.

Biden has incumbency. It is 100% despite his situation, a benefit for him. If he is switched out, the incumbency tick leans toward Trump because Trump used to be president.

It's a very bad move this late in to switch him out. The only way I could think a switch could work at this point would be pulling Kamala to the front as she was sworn in to take over should Biden die (which he has all but done physically) but even still, I say no.

Here's more:

"You seem Democrat voters! Your primary votes don't matter. The elites control this party and will pick whatever candidate they want. You have no say in the matter!"

"They're changing the candidate out at the last second because they knew they were going to lose! They have no confident in their own leaders, and you rely on such a feckless group?"

"They put out a black woman as the candidate because they want people to vote on racial lines! She has no legislative achievements! Democrats are just using gender and race as tools to win elections!"

And so on and so on. Even if some of it is bullshit independent voters in rural places will lap that shit up no doubt.

Honestly if Biden can't beat Trump then no one can and you might as well start the mitigation process and plan to do better in 2028. The absolute CEILING of a last second swap out is to basically perform the same as if you stuck with Biden and unified behind him.

The idea that only Biden can beat Trump is so laughable and these fake arguments only are something righties wank off too.

The average person would just be happy to get to vote for someone closer to their age, hopefully.

The problem is all these complicit morons running around demanding he step down and then running away and hiding when someone asks them for a candidate, because they're reactionary dipshits with no idea what they're talking about.

The one time I saw someone actually put names forward they got half of them wrong and included fucking Clinton.

I especially love when they put up Obama, who has said she doesn't want to be involved in politics at all.

There is no realistic candidate that they will unify behind. At this point if Dems were suddenly worried about Biden (because of his age) the answer would be Harris, PERIOD!

It is literally her job to take over for Biden. Shes actually been acting president several times.

But when you say Harris they have a ton of excuses why they wouldnt support Harris.

So its not that Bidens old and in mental decline, its that they want a perfect candidate. Anyone less than perfect they will pull an must earn my vote BS
