I'm starting to think I need to network with furries.
A surprising number of furries work in STEM and other high-paying careers, which leads to them also having lots of commission money to give to artists, which has the obvious side effect of many of the artists being able to use furry art as a somewhat stable source of income. An infamous giant Falco commissioner is rumored to be (or outright has been confirmed to be, I don't remember) a doctor. And that's one example.
