sometimes when coding I dont really need to think or research, I can just start a script with a comment of what I want the script to do and then GitHub copilot will basically auto-complete my script for me or get me 80% of the way there at least
Basically. I'm writing some Java API (bleh) at work and tried using it to write unit tests, which it didn't do a good job of initially. Created method stubs for every scenario I wanted to test, with names in {method)_{action/condition}_{result} format, and then it was able to setup the mocks correctly at the beginning of each method. It can at least save you time on some mundane stuff like that.
For C#, I use it whenever I have to interop/pinvoke stuff. It may take it a few tries, but it'll eventually generate the right methods and generally knows which other Windows libraries you'll need to reference.
For mobile, I went from knowing nothing about mobile dev to having a test android app with a few basic pages with various random features in a few hours thanks to ChatGPT, but that was back when it was more useful. I doubt it would work as well now that it's been dumbed down.
