While the novelty of getting all 3 Spideys together is cool, it doesn't make sense.

If they are multiverse variations of the same person, then why are they all phyaically different people entirely?

Thinking back to 90s Spider-Man TAS with the whole multiverse clone saga, the different Peters were all different, yet they still had the same face as Peter, with Ben Reilly being the exception.

In the Spider-Verse films, the others weren't Peter, so them being different made sense. In this movie they only share the same name.

It should be like the clones from Star Wars, sharing the same faces yet being distinct in ways from each other in other ways.
Your face looks like I need a beer.
That's not really how it works. You could effectively still have a "Peter Parker" that had a different mother, in a different universe, and they'd still be "Peter Parker." And that's the point. "Multiverse" is open ended. You can say they found nearly identical versions of the same person across universes, or you can say you found different versions of the same person across universes. There's no hard and fast rule.

Also Spiderverse did indeed have more than one Peter
I beat Call of Duty 4. In one day.
WHAT UP!
variation doesn't mean that absolutely everything else is the same except the person
it means literally everything else could be different

Why did they even have to bother with rounding up the villains when Strange could have just pressed the button and put everything right from the beginning?
spider-man no way home fucking sucks
Source: it is known among the wise
Why was Ben Reilly the exception in that example you provided?

Anyway I don't even think it's worth dissecting NWH because the movie in its entirety just exists for fan-service. Even while watching none of the plot made sense which is completely fine because actually seeing all 3 spidey men was absurdly cathartic.

Spiderverse literally has an alternate Peter parker as one of its main characters though

The concept of a multiverse has different interpretations, this was just one of them.
