There's no chance of them being resurrected, even under a different name. You have the choice of keeping 8 around. Which would you choose? Using a generic title will save other jobs under that umbrella. For example, saving entertainment would save actors, writers, musicians, pornstars, etc. You can also add an asterisk in order to exclude one job title (eg; under entertainment, use the asterisk to exclude pornstars). My choices are...

Medicine
Law enforcement (*politicians)
Entertainment
Science
Technology
Food/drink creation
Delivery
Military

You're making it too broad I think. Medicine and technology are a form of science which is a form of math so by saying you save Math you're already saving like 95% of important jobs in the world. Depending on how broad a definition with Math you give it could actually save every job including entertainment

Hmm. Good point. What restrictions should I make so I can close the topic and try again?

i dunno about the wording but I think it just needs to ban the foundational top level knowledge domains

like technology covers way too much. hardware engineers, software engineers, network engineers, helpdesk technicians, telecommunications engineers, systems engineers, etc this isnt even going into architect level careers or "lesser" positions either, or sideways into areas like game design or digital marketing or running a business with a website
I find it difficult to see how "Technology" doesn't cover most jobs.

I tend to view "profession" as a role that requires special training with licensing. A medical doctor or lawyer being classic examples (architect, surveyor, nurse bring other examples). But that is a narrow view that comes from having a job that requires licensure down the road.

Why on earth would you put military?

You had an opportunity to end all war forever and you wasted it.

D'oh! I forgot that bandit and cartel would've also vanished!

Like I said, I'll have to repost this topic later with tighter restrictions.

Having law enforcement makes sense. Having military does not, because by choosing that, youre allowing every other country in the world to also have a military.

I'll just keep eight minimum wage jobs around and watch people twist themselves into knots to explain why now the minimum wage needs to go up
