Higher wages (assuming no productivity increase) is just one factor that affects inflation.
Of course, it's the one that the owner and governing classes want you to obsess over, as it does the usual job of keeping the poors fighting amongst themselves ('they shouldn't pay burger flippers a living wage, it makes my burgers more expensive!'), rather than thinking about profiteering, monetary policy, or other costs.
