the limited saves thing is more annoying than scary

it just means you have to redo stuff you already did

I agree, there's other ways you can scare people and build tension. The way saves work now I think is fine

Its annoying having to use one of Chris 6 inventory slots to have the ability to save your game. And ribbons are plentiful so you should never run out. Its just a guessing game of whether the next typewriter you come across is going to have an ink ribbon sitting next to it already, or if you should bring one along to be on the safe side.

you can literally change the control scheme to a more modern one in the REmake, how fuckin dumb are you guys lmfao

and everyone giving the fixed camera angles a hard time is also dumb af. that's what made the OG games so scary, not being able to immediately see what lies around that next corner.

bunch of plebs itt.

I think this still goes for over-the-shoulder and first-person cameras, and those put you closer to the action/scares.

Bah, lol.

REmake aged like fine wine dammit. You know what though?.....I usually tell those who complain about final fantasy 7 remake that the OG game will always be there for them because of how much I enjoy FF7 remake+rebirth, and so I can't be a hypocrite with this one.

Bring it on RE1 re-remake.....I'll probably hate you, but its going to be a remake not meant for me and I accept that.

REmake is a perfect game already. The only thing I would want to add to it is better quality backgrounds, and even then only on the HD version. Also the ability to take out exactly 1 Ink Ribbon. I don't like to say this, but if you can't beat REmake, it's purely because you are bad at it.

You don't, really. There's no reason to be toting ink ribbons along with you. Almost any time there's a typewriter there's an item box. Why would you not just leave them there? There's maybe two typewriters in the entire game that don't have an item box like 5 feet away.

I wish they hadn't have even given the option, because like with Twin Snakes' gameplay additions it basically breaks the game. It wasn't designed for it, so being able to run away from zombies and whatnot without even having to turn around first drains away what little challenge they pose to begin with. You can run circles around nearly every enemy in the game.

While Im not opposed to the idea of ots RE games, I dont want to see the original made that way. I dont feel it worked well for 2 and I dont think this one is any more suited to it.
Give me RE0 in the RE7 style and gameplay

I want Barry as a playable character you can choose as to start a new game. Also his game and RE1 story should be drastically different from Chris & Jill's to allow for some nice surprises for old RE veterans playing the ReRemake.

Otherwise I'm not all that enthused for another remake of Resident Evil 1. The first Remake was already pretty good, regardless of the old fixed camera/tank style of gameplay.
