You can mix and match all the skills pretty easily in Andromeda. I mostly went for a Vanguard esque run even though they fucking ruined Nova.

I wanna say Biotics or Tech. IIRC, with the way you can customize weapons in Andromeda you can make some crazy broken stuff without needing to actually invest too much into weapon skills.

I could be wrong tho. Been a while since I played it

so cooldowns are longer than in me2/3 but not as bad as they were in me1

everything hits like a fucking truck, but that's my fault for playing on insanity. early game is gonna suck.

currently using pull and throw to explode things and knock people down. will probably grab barrier just for the extra shields

I did the same thing a few years ago I was enjoying andromeda to the gameplay is definitely a step up but I took a break and never went back to it. Space exploration is neat I like the new systems they added but the squad mates are lack luster so far but overall a decent game.

I played Andromeda for like a week or two, got to the ice planet before i completely dropped that crap

I remember specifically that in all that time, i only pressed "Quit game" to stop for the day twice.
Every other day, i stopped playing cause it crashed

so Barrier isn't an active ability anymore, but a passive that works better the more points in biotics i have... i guess i'm gonna be maxing out all the powers just to make that better. and the passive that boosts damage/duration dependent on points in.

EA doesn't give a single, solitary shit what people say about their games; they only care if the make money. Andromeda didn't, at least not enough to warrant continued support, so they pulled the plug. Blaming that on anyone other than the people who failed to make an appealing game is intellectually lazy.

Battles were alright or even better than the trilogy, but maaannn, the dialogue and characters which for me is the heart of the series, went down the drain.

i regret not picking tech instead of biotics.

a) biotics aren't great against shields

b) my pull+throw explosions yeet the bodies into the stratosphere and far away, never to be seen again, denying me loot and scans

i gave up and swapped to tech powers.

tact-cloak for escaping, incinerate+energy drain for regular enemies, reverse for shielded. eventually i'll get Liam to have overload.

then again, i mostly run drack and vetra. haven't gotten my 6th crew member yet, i'm assuming i have one, there's a slot for them on the squadmate screen
